A very nice visit to the donkey farm, where we learnt about breeding/ maintaining ancient breeds of donkeys. We got a nice tour around the farm, and an opportunity to visit their shop with amazing, organic homemade products eg. soaps and lotions made out of donkey milk. We would definitely recommend to visit this place.

Created in 1974 by Gilbert Cours -Darne, an eminent French botanist (he was awarded the Olivier de Serres prize, the highest distinction bestowed by the Academie d’Agriculture), the arboretum occupies 6 hectares and contains 700 different species of trees and shrubs. Situaded by the road to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle with a view of the St Pierre de La Romieu collegiale, the Coursiana Gardens offer you an enjoyable experience in a wholly beautiful environment. Veronique and Arnaud Delannoy, the owners of the arboretum, as a result of their painstaking work received the national Edouard d’Avdeew's prize, awarded by the Association des Parcs Botaniques de France. In 2001, a partnership has been conduced with Fleurance Nature to create a medicinal and aromatic plants garden, which opened in spring 2002.
A lovely garden, well worth a visit. There are views towards the collegiale and a good variety of plants and flowers to look at. It was fairly large so there was no feeling of crowding. Recommended.

This is a beautiful, rural Bastide village in the Gers region. Good restaurants, an interesting antique shop, other food, drink and artisan shops. Have been there many times, and in the summer they have many markets, including a monthly Brocante (antiques) market.

It is worth a 10min detour to visit this moated medieval village, however it’s worth a longer detour just for the ice cream. The homemade ice cream is made by a lovely man who lets you try as many flavours as you like before finally deciding. There are some good flavours for the children, but some really delicious adult flavours. I highly recommend a scoop of Ginger with a scoop of Basil, very refreshing on a hot day.
