Casa Tornini is one of the oldest houses of our town (1860), which keeps its original furniture and decoration. It is an historical museum and a cultural centre whose goal is to enhance and protect local patrimony through education, culture and tourism. We offer guided tours inside the museum and on field.

This was one of my favorite spots in the Atacama - partly because it is absolutely breathtaking, and partly because it was one of the less crowded spots I visited. It's location makes it impossible to access with a bus - so it is limited to a handful of sprinter vans and camp trucks like mine at any given time. This is accessed via the Monks (Monjes de Pacana) and there is no "road" leading to it. For those not part of a tour, who are looking for the Monks and Salar de Tara on their own - here's some important advise: There weren't any signs letting you know you were close to the Monks...or any signs for the site at all, on the road from San Pedro. The cartoony map from town had them in a slightly different spot on the curves of the road than where they were - we were worried we'd missed a turn off. But not to worry - they are there and you really cannot miss them - they're adjacent to the road and very recognizable. Side note: You will be sharing the curvy and mostly uphill road from SPdA to this location with LOTS of trucks transporting cars to Bolivia/Argentina (maybe from the coast?). They are super slow on the hills and you'll be often stuck behind them when the road is too curvy to pass. Once at the Monks - to get to Salar de Tara requires a 20-30min off road drive. There are lots of car tracks going every which way - some may lead to completely different places, so I would not suggest trying to find this on your own. Even with a GPS app, it is not a direct route, and tourists get lost in the area a lot trying to find the site. We followed one of the sprinter van tours from Monjes de Pacana, and then did the same thing to get back afterwards. The tour guides seem very kind and happy to lead the way so you don't get lost! At the Salar, there are lots of animals, a gorgeous landscape, a baño, and smaller crowds - definitely worth the drive! This is one of the higher altitudes in the area - the weather is super dodgy/undpredictable! We saw sun, rain, hail, and snow on our day trip to visit these. A guide advised that rain often starts in the area around 2 or 3pm, and suggested leaving by that time. He was spot on, as it started raining around 2pm as we headed out.

In the early 1900s, mining engineer C.J. Kingston left his home in Michigan looking for gold in Chile. Generations later, his descendants are showing the same pioneering spirit in exploring new frontiers in Chilean winemaking. Growing red wine grapes in a valley known for whites, Kingston Family Vineyards has been hailed as Winery of the Year by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
We had a wine and food pairing lunch scheduled. It was delicious! Wines paired perfectly with the food. We also joined the wine club. Fabulous location for an afternoon of wine tasting,

Only 14km from Puerto Varas, this environment and biodiversity Conservation Park consists of 150 hectares of native forest, fields, sunken forest on Maullin River and a wild animal rehabilitation center. Please we need your Reservation to give you the schedule, price and timing for your visit. There, we offer several activities, all guided, such as trekking the forests, navigation through the sunken forest, fly-fishing, bird watching and a tour at the wild animal center. Your visit can last from one hour and a half to six hours, depending on the activities you choose to do. In the park we also have a "fogon" (room where we cook with fire and eat) where you can enjoy a great homemade lunch (advance reservation necessary) and a big room where a large number of people can find shelter for an event. Our principal goal is to protect our environment by making it known and giving each visitor a unique and personal experience with the environment. A big hug
My husband and I arrived in the morning sun to the beautiful setting of the main house on the river bank. We were met by Silvio and his staff who were most welcoming. They did not admit until we were eating the fantastic lunch of steak from the associated cattle farm that they had not been told by our tour operator that my husband was suffering with a foot injury and unable to walk well on uneven or sloping ground: Appearing with a wheeled walking frame the team quietly sorted a personalised tour for us. With much help and support given in an appropriate and friendly manner we both were able to relax in the small shallow metal boat and let Silvio guide us engineless through the beautiful sunken forest. His knowledge helped us understand the fragility of the Eco system within the world we had entered. We have travelled quite broadly but never experienced anything like this before The rescue and conservation areas were inspiring. The rescued Pumas, wild cat, owl, and birds all had their own stories of why they were there. The programme to support increasing the numbers of endangered Pudu deer was explained (and the 3 day old baby beautiful) They told us how they had 45 eggs given to them by the police rescued from the illegal egg collectors and had hand reared the parakeet chicks so that they might soon be released back to the wild. The star of the show was the baby starling in his hand made nest in the restaurant who happily chirped for more food having been rescued from the jaws of death almost at birth. Lunch - the most amazing steak we have had (from Silvio's cattle) cooked to perfection and serenaded by the family. We both wish Silvo, his family and team every success in preserving thus safe haven for the future. He deserves much support for the passion he clearly has for sustaining this exquisite environment

Located two kilometres from the city of Vicuna and overlooking nine hectares of beautiful and prolific vineyards you can find the 'Alfa Aldea' Natural Planetarium. In this splendid place you can enjoy an unforgettable stellar experience, a different concept of astronomical observation. Our intention is to be always in touch with nature, mirroring the way the first, ancient astronomers watched the skies. The modern astronomical facilities are located in the middle of the vineyards; in order to provide superior service and ensure a wonderful astronomical experience to our visitors a ground-level amphitheatre has been built with a seating capacity of 50 people. The design of the aforementioned building allows the installation of our last-generation telescopes of 10", 12" and 16" inches. All extra accessories (ocular lens suitcases and filters) are included and are available for the tour guide. Personalized tours are available in English and Spanish languages.
Very nice Tour in a familiar and relaxed atmosphere in beautiful vineyard. Group size Maximum of 12. Excellent explanations in spanish and english. Everyone gets the time to watch through the telescope several times. You can ask all that comes to your mind. I even got picked up and brought back to my hostel with no charge. Wine from their vineyard and tomato soup are served. My first ever astronomy tour. Very impressive. Thank you!

The drive out here is nice. The location is picturesque. The "gate-keeper" (Jorge?) is a kind, welcoming man. Then you actually enter the park! Birds, (big) trees, flowers, bees, and much more, it's definitely worth making it out to Curinanco. Get outside of the city and enjoy this swath of coastal rainforest.

Visit is coordinated prior booking arrangement. No walk-in visits capabilities. A small winery located in the most remote sector of Casablanca Valley. Surrounded by hills in a charming landscape. An internationally awarded Sauvignon Blanc producer.
This is an off the beaten path gem in Casablanca. We did a tasting and our hostess was great (sorry, cannot remember her name). Quality wines in a great setting. Don't miss it!

Enjoy the excellent wines and delightful atmosphere of one of Chile’s most prestigious traditional wineries. An engaging guided tour of our facilities, including the park, colonial manor house, old winery, and the large cellar built using the “cal y canto”—limestone and eggshell—technique in the 1880s. During the tour you will taste 3 wines, the experience ends in our new shop.
Having lived 2 hours from Napa for many years, we've been to a lot of wineries. This tour has a completely different focus: it's not a tour of production facilities as much as the best class I've ever had in how to really taste, select and enjoy wine. We took the premium tour that includes higher-end wines, with the time to sit down afterwards, enjoy two wines with paired appetizers, and ask questions of our expert guide. You WILL see the beautiful cellar which has withstood major earthquakes. A couple of hours beyond expectations.
