Art Deco Theater and Vintage Bar set in the heart of Little Germany in Bradford. Home of the best late night live entertainment. Bradford Playhouse is a diverse Theatre venue, offering a wide range of different environments and Theatre spaces. From intimidate acting venues, all the way to a grandiose Theatre stage.
On first impressions of the Playhouse I thought it was very shabby and run down and in dire need of National Lottery funding. The bar area was interesting......more shabby than chic. That said, the warmth and friendliness of all the staff was really nice and I was impressed how they took particular care and attention to people with mobility issues etc. The pantomime itself was excellent, great cast especially Buttons who gave Billy Pearce a run for his money. The drinks in the bar and ice cream in the interval were very sensibly priced I thought. I thought it was really lovely that the cast were down in the bar after the show posing for photos etc - a really lovely touch. I only booked my ticket a few days before the show after reviews from work colleagues and I am really glad I went - a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Just returned from another super few hours at St Ives with our grandsons aged 8 & 6. Firstly we visited the huge play area , so many things to climb on , spin on and swing on ???? Then up to the lake fir a lovely walk and to feed the ducks with a slight detour up the hillside to build a lean too den out of fallen branches, the boys love being creative in their design of woodland den. Then back down and a visit to the cafe. ( separate review ) It's a super place to visit with the boys or for a good walk. No hesitation in recommending St Ives estate.

The Bradford Police Museum is located on Centenary Square. The Museum features a Cell Tour, a Court Tour and a Gallery Tour. The Museum focuses mainly on the Bradford City Police Force and aspects of 19th Century Policing. The Museum is open on: Fridays between 11am and 3pm and Saturdays between 12noon and 4pm.
Great place to visit. Take a tour back in time and visit the Victorian prison cells. See the courts used in many films and TV series. And a full room of exhibits to browse around. 10/10

It is a beer drinkers pub with an area with a pool table and juke box for the younger folk and a quieter area for those who prefer conversation. There were around half a dozen cask ales at competitive prices and the customers were making the most of them. In my home area, most pub are basically restaurants and it was great to find an old fashioned place where people come to drink, behave well and are very friendly. It was an excellent choice for a very sociable evening.
