Nice little winery from the 16 th century, Organic with a lot of character. Tours and tasting of the winery are done only on appointments.10 Euros is required Thank you for your understanding. Saturday and Sunday's on rendez vous only
We rocked up here earlier today and astonishingly luckily managed to catch Albert himself; 14th generation winemaker (very much recommend to call and book in advance mind). Wow, what a journey you go through here, it’s so much more than just a tasting. Albert has a wonderful turn of phrase, this not only makes you visualise the wine but helps you understand why it causes such a sensation. It’s approachable, captivating and thoroughly enjoyable. Alberts’ wines are not only incredibly interesting but are as magical as his stories- for which he pairs beautifully. On top of this, his wines are also very reasonably priced. This is a must do in the Alsace, the best tasting experience and hands down the most interesting wines we have found here. If you want to find the real magic amongst Alsation winemakeres, then you’d be daft to miss this place. I already look forward to my next visit.

This small, charming shop offers exquisite items made by local artisans and companies at what we thought were quite reasonable prices. It is wonderful to find such beautiful things and to learn about them from an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and multilingual staff member. The shop is well worth a visit.

Half protestant and half catholic, this is a very unusual church with plenty of interesting features. Parts of it are in real need of restoration, so worth a visit and helping to support.

Loved my tour of this ancient wine cellar and shop. They have the oldest bottle of white wine in the world here, dates to 1472. The tour is fascinating and you can buy some of the best local wines at a great price. A steady stream of locals came in to buy wine while I was there! A fascinating experience that's quirky and a bit off the beaten track - and all the better for it!

A jeweller of exceptional gifts and an immense master glassmaker, René Lalique is one of the great artists of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. For 100 years, Lalique creations have been produced at Wingen-sur-Moder inAlsace. It is in this region, with its great glassmaking tradition, that the Musée Lalique has opened, a place to celebrate the memory of the artist and his heirs, worthy of their genius and influence.Unique in Europe and deeply rooted in its history.
What a wonderful time we had at the Lalique museum. The Lalique story is told with much intrigue and the museum is home to a wonderfully rich collection of Lalique designs, telling the story of the brand throughout the years and in its historical context. The audio guide was very informative and the children enjoyed the activities which were carefully designed with them in mind to ensure everyone enjoyed the visit. We loved the garden and the carefully curated flora which inspired Lalique's work. The staff were extremely accommodating. We were there on a Monday and sadly missed enjoying the Lalique café which is closed on Mondays. The museum boutique was delightful and their contemporary jewelry collection well-represented. The museum was a true 'bijou' and a not to be missed family experience if you are in the area!

We love castles and we love ruins so this castle ruin did not disappoint at all! This one has been on our list for a couple years and we finally made the trip down. Just incredible all around. From the easy parking to starting up the hill to the base there was information being taught. You learn about how they made charcoal. The base camp had a nice souvenir store and cafe. We payed to play a game with the kids on our way to the castle and had a great time! I highly suggest doing the Castle of Challenges with Hugo game! We all had fun finding clues and solving the questions on the “long way” up. When we got to the castle, it was very impressive. Information boards everywhere about the area and the game continues to teach you and continue the fun! Incredible views from the top! Such a cool castle! When you finish your game be sure you make time to check your answers back at the P’tit Fleck and get a fun picture taken as your prize! Wear good shoes for climbing as the sandstone and stairs are a little slippery. Also if you have a full day, you can hike to 3 other castles close by which we will do next time. Another quick fact we found interesting as we are living in Heidelberg and love our castle there, the French general responsible for the destruction of Fleckenstein is also responsible for the complete destruction of the surrounding castles and Heidelberg castle.
