Such a beautiful building, marble pillars and staircases, breathtaking dome, somber official chambers, rich colours, warm woodwork, gilded details.......all brought to life by the informative guides with their unique stories to share. The guide we had on our tour pointed out so many details that we would surely have missed if left to our own devices. As visitors from Scotland we felt very welcomed here.

The Fed and its interest rates are in the news all the time, but if you want a fuller idea of all the other stuff they do, this is the tour for you. Most of it involves the guide pausing to talk in front of various well-designed displays, but at the end you get to see people and robots at work handling cash (by the ton!) every day for commercial banks. Leave your pocket knife and camera at home, because they won't let you take them inside. Well worth an hour or so of your time.
