Step to the beat of wafting flamenco music as you wander the downtown River Walk before sampling as much chili (San Antonio’s signature dish) as your taste buds will allow. A visit to the Alamo is an absolute must, as is taking in a show at the ornate Majestic Theatre. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is dotted with 18th-century buildings and features, making for an enriching excursion.

A very challenging golf course and school. The highest spot within the San Antonio city limits is the tee box at hole eleven.
We played the Palmer course and we were overwhelmed by the beautiful views and change of elevations. Almost every if not every hole plays uphill or downhill at some point. I know a hill is not a tall as a mountain but some of the elevations seemed more like mountains than hills. The course was well maintained to the level you would expect from a resort.

Designed by Arnold Palmer, this public 18-hole championship course, at Par-71 and 6,926 yards, is set dramatically over 250 acres in the Texas Hill Country.
Palmer Course at La Cantera, we played on Saturday after playing the Resort course on Friday. I thought Friday golf was good until we arrived at the Palmer course on Saturday and played there. Great way to spend 2 days in the Texas Hill country with a great golf partner, my wife.

Had a great time at TopGolf today. (Tuesday). My son and I played for 2 hours. Don’t miss the Angry Birds golf game if you have kids. A lot of fun for my 9 yr old. Anthony E was an excellent server. Our drinks and food were timed right and he always made sure we didn’t need anything. Booked a 2:30pm reservation and our bay was ready right on time. Good thing because there was a walk-in wait list. Everything was clean and there was plexiglass between bays. Hopefully by the time summer comes those can be removed because it sure blocks wind flow. But today’s weather was not too hot thankfully. The fan did get turned on to help with cooling the temp a little. All in all a great time. (Pics of injectable donut holes, steak tacos, Mac n cheese bites, and a martini) Tacos and donut holes are two of my favorites.

A golf course where the back nine is down inside the old quarry.
The Quarry Golf Course is not only a fantastic golfing experience with scenic views but the course is in excellent condition. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great condition. We take a golf trip every year and have played all over the country, The quarry has it all, scenic and excellent course. If you come to San Antonio you must play the Quarry.

Eighteen-hole course stretches 6,677 yards from the Gold Tees featuring Bermuda Tiff 419 fairways, Flora Dwarf greens and a unique loop design so that players never have to see a parallel hole.
The golf course even with the weather challenges is in very nice condition, pace of play is very decent, we played in about 4.30 with a kind of busy say. Staff is friendly and there are golf carts with drinks around the course

Built in 1916, this is the oldest 18-hole public golf course in Texas, which measures 5,767 yards from the middle tees with a relatively easy par 72 track.
