The Pekin Park District is a very welcoming place to visit. The grounds are vast and incorporate over a dozen different parks - totalling 2,275 acres of land - that are all well planned and excellently maintained. It is really an impressive, well-developed system for proper recreation. There are several golf courses in this park system. A definite place to visit and enjoy would be a very attractive, 200-acres Mineral Springs Park and Lagoon, with fishing ramps and paddle boat ramps, numerous trails, kids playgrounds, various sports facilities, the historic Pavilion (built over hundred years ago), multiple picnic areas, concession stands ... The grounds and landscaping are beautiful, ample parking is available onsite, there are a lot of benches in shaded areas, under the huge trees - it's a perfect park for relaxation. The city of Pekin can undoubtedly be proud of Pekin Park District, that - for over 117 years - has been doing such a fantastic job for the community and visitors, who enjoy this beautiful park!

Seven Bridges Golf Club, a 4-Star rated course by Golf Digest, provides a golf experience unlike any other. Seven Bridges is recognized as one of the top 5 public courses in the Chicagoland area. It’s a public course with a private course feel. Our finely-manicured course boasts a bucolic setting featuring 100-year-old oaks, picturesque lily pad ponds, and, of course, at least seven bridges. Following your round, you can enjoy a meal and drinks at the best 19th hole setting anywhere, The Dock, which offers great dining and sunset views. Our past guests are in on the secret. Join us for a round and you too, will be eager to come back again and again. Golf should be rewarding...at Seven Bridges it is...

This course hosts the PGA's Western Open every year.
I played Dubsdread after a huge storm which made the course even more soft. I made the mistake of playing from the tips at 7500. With no roll on your drives it made the course impossible to score on with how long it plays. With that said, it is one of the best conditioned courses I've ever played and I've played a bunch of major championship venues. The greens rolled beautifully. My only complaint would be the course felt a bit repetitive. Very minor complaint. I can't say enough how well the facilities, people, and conditions of the course were. Highly highly recommend. Play the right tee boxes and the course will be more fun. It's probably not the course for you if you are above a 15-20 handicap. Play one of the other courses and save some money and sanity.
