This 18-hole, par-72 course over 7,039 yards runs on red lava fields along a scenic coastline, offering stimulating challenges like drives over cliff, deep gorges and ravines with flags very close to the cliff's edge.
I played the course several times. The ocean views are spectacular on so many of the holes. The number 12 is is breathtaking and I could have stayed there, forever. Perfect greens, fairways and tee boxes - the landscaping is a 10. The starters were so helpful, and the driving range was exceptional with Pro V1 practice balls. The cart had GPS and digital score cards. I can hardly wait to return and play it again and again.

This is a very nice course with three outstanding holes on the back nine around the coastline. It is expensive, $190 at noon If you love the picturesqueness of golf it is worth money. Make sure you bring your camera.

Located on the popular island of Maui, Kapalua Golf invites you to discover two of the most majestic golf courses in the world - the Plantation Course and the Bay Course. Recognized as the best golf course in Hawaii for thirteen consecutive years by Golfweek, the Plantation Course is home to the PGA TOUR's Sentry Tournament of Champions. The Bay Course has hosted over 20 professional tournaments - the most of any neighbor island course - and features the only hole to play over the ocean on Maui. Kapalua Golf & Tennis is proud to maintain its place among the best golf courses, teaching facilities, golf shops and resorts around the world.
We stayed at kapalua golf villas in March 2018. The front desk manager, Romel was exceptional. Exceptional customer service. The entire staff was exceptional. We were not ocean front but ocean view and we saw a whale breach even from that distance. We had a two bedroom two bath condo, with a huge private balcony, part covered part open. Very quiet condo, beautiful grounds and shared but private pool, never crowded, 2 to 4 couples at most. Free shuttle service to beach and restaurants on property. The tavern near our condo was the best, very friendly and good food, reasonable for Maui.

Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Sentry Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

Located at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, two golf challenges - the North Course and the South Course - are both 18-holes at par 72, and known for the beautiful black lava and putting greens.
We have played Pebble Beach courses, Bandon Dune Courses and many other gorgeous golf course. Mauna Lani South is spectacular! Absolutely my most favorite course! You are playing in the middle of a lava field. The views are breathtaking! The course was in excellent condition. The greens not too fast nor too slow. Perfection!

It’s like playing in paradise. I hadn’t planned on playing on holiday - as it was a bit expensive and I didn’t want to take my clubs from UK to Hawaii. However when I arrived and saw how stunning it is, I couldn’t resist. The practice range and greens are spectacular - with as many balls as you need. The course itself is incredible, the tee boxes are nice they could be greens, and the greens and fairways are immaculate. And the views are unbeatable. Rental clubs were great, with Callaway Rogue irons and Hybrids, Callaway Epic Flash driver, Callaway Mack daddy SW & GW, odyssey exo putter and I can’t remember the 3-wood. Plus you get 6 Makai branded balls. Golf carts with GPS and distance to the green are included with the green fees, which makes things a lot easier. The staff are great - checking in regularly along the course to see if you need anything and sometimes offering advice. The drinks cart finds you a couple of times on the course too. Ice cold beers just makes it even better. It’s awesome, can’t recommend it enough.

This lush and tropical layout measures 6,825 yards from the back, featuring four to six tee boxes on every hole, allowing golfers to tailor the course to their level of skill.
When I arrived at the starter's station for my 9:00 tee time, the people I'd been paired with did not show up, so the starter sent me out on my own. Bumped into 2 foursomes along the way and got a quick invitation to play through each time. Finished in just under 3 1/2 hours - my kind of golf! Course conditions were excellent from tee boxes through the greens. Generous fairways and well-tended greens. Even from the old man tees there is a nice mix of holes - left and right turns, a few blind shots, plenty of sand, some water. Very forgiving, too, at least for me. Pulled a few drives into lava and trees, and found my ball in the middle of the fairway each time! Course staff (from the pro shop to the guy who dropped by bag off at my car at the end of the round) were uniformly friendly, helpful and pleasant. Cart lady showed up regularly with water and a smile. Cloudless skies, low 80s, and outstanding ocean views topped off a perfect golf day. Thanks, Wailea!

The Wailea Old Blue Golf Course located on Maui, Hawaii is Wailea resorts original golf course. Reserve a tee time online or by phone. Old Blue features ocean views from every hole.
Maybe the best views on Maui for a golf course, especially from the back 9. Nice & wide forgiving fairways, numerous bunkers, great twilight rates and free junior golf for kids 17 and under! How can you pick any other golf in Wailea or Makena? Some construction right next to the 10th hole sucks but oh well, thats what mulligans are for.
