Christchurch, the Garden City, and the Canterbury region are the perfect destination for daredevils. From northern Kaikoura to Waimate in the south, Canterbury is an adventure sports paradise. Hangliding, helibiking, bungee jumping, snowboarding, jetboating, rafting and skydiving get the adrenaline going. Golfing, flightseeing, swimming with dolphins and soaking in thermal pools are more laid-back temptations. Christchurch, a city of parks and gardens, is the countrys third largest urban area.

After your golf you’ll be welcomed into The Member Lounge providing excellent views of the 18th green and the final fairway. Free Wi-Fi allows you to update your friends on the great day you've had.
$50 for a lesson for 3 people. Great instructor, very attentive and engaging for family with 10 year old. We did putting, chipping and learnt to swing far (ish lol). Great value, very worth. Highly recommend.

Took a break from skiing Mt Hutt for a round of golf at Methven. They have a deal for $40 which includes green fees for 18 holes and includes a set of golf clubs and cart. Barry was also kind enough to include some balls and tees ???? If you visit Methven and enjoy a game of golf, do yourself a favour and add this to your itinerary.

I went along with my hubby and 14 year old daughter to test our skills on the driving range. We bought a bucket of 100 balls which combined with club hire was $23.00. The service was friendly and helpful. There were a large number of bays to choose from. None of us 3 play golf at all and it was really just a different activity for some holiday fun. We had varied results but I am pretty sure Lydia Ko has nothing to worry about. Even though none of us were any good we really enjoyed ourselves and had some great laughs at how bad some of our shots were. Professional coaching is available, at a price, if you really want to up your golf game. Recommend this for something a little different and a lot of fun.
