Living up to its billing as “The Natural State”, the state is a nature wonderland with three national forests, nearly 9,000 miles of pristine streams and rivers, awe-inspiring settings in the Ozark and Quachita mountains and sparkling lakes.
The menu of vacation experiences is an exciting one. For great golf, spas, horse racing and the Hot Springs National Park, Hot Springs is the place to go. Outdoor enthusiasts love the Ozark Mountains where activities like canoeing, rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking and rock climbing are popular. The mountain village of Eureka Springs, with its streets lined with Victorian homes, is brimming with boutiques, antique shops and art galleries. Wine enthusiasts love the Arkansas Wine Country, encompassing the towns of Paris, Ozark and Altus, where German style wines are produced. From its ancient mountains to the Delta flatlands leveled by the Mississippi River, the state has a diverse topography with numerous scenic drives. Try the Pig Trail, Ozark Highlands and Sylamore scenic byways in the Ozark National Forest designated by the U.S. Forest Service. Golfers love the state because greens fees are extremely affordable for great courses. A few excellent public access courses are Sage Meadows in Jonesboro, Stonebridge Meadows in Fayetteville and the Mountain Ranch Course in Fairfield Bay.

Loved the golf. Challenging, but not impossible for weekend golfers. Priced right. Now if you could just get Bogies restaurant to have the same level,of customer service as the pro shop and get them to serve food.

The Bella Vista Country Club Golf Course is the community’s oldest golf course and can best be described as a "classic" design that mildly rolls through the valley along U.S. 71. The course offers four sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. While long and challenging, the course can be walked as there are few hills. Golf carts are available, as are rental clubs.

Golfers will enjoy The Ridges at Village Creek, the 27-hole, Andy Dye signature course within Village Creek State Park. This outstanding public course features the rolling terrain of Crowley's Ridge, dramatic elevation changes, and the backdrop of the surrounding hardwood forest. These combine with the PGA-caliber championship layout for an aesthetically pleasing and challenging level of play.
We had heard about this course from another golfer. It exceeded all our expectations. Not only could we take our RV and stay at the beautiful State Park, we also played 36 holes at the Ridges. The timber setting, hills, scenery and the challenging course is now our favorite. We drove 7 hours to spend most of a week there and we loved every minute. The golf was the highlight and Tony at the Pro Shop was extremely friendly and helpful!! Thank you Arkansas!

Another great Labor Day weekend at Tannenbaum! this coarse has the best bent grass putting surface plus an amazing layout with plush fairways. If you keep your ball in play like I do, then you can score well. We saw scores from -2 to +20. We take a big group every year. Don't miss out

Built in 2013, by the El Dorado based Murphy Oil Company; Mystic Creek is a gem of a course. The greens are treacherous, but you now know that, so plan your second, third (or fourth) shot accordingly. As locals told us, "If the pin is in a certain area of the green, you'll have to hit your shot exactly to that area". Very true. Well maintained and with water and traps galore on every hole, you need to warm up, and shoot accurately. I'm 15 handicap, my wife 12-13; and we played the White & Red tees. IMHO- if you're over a 12 handicap- play the Yellow tees (slope 125, 5577 yards). Sounds short, but with hazards and water, as well as the touchy greens- you'll see. Patio restaurant wasn't open, but food to go, can be ordered. It's Troon affiliated, so we paid $70/ea. The clubhouse appears brand new. Staff was very nice. No carts in the parking lot. large practice green is representative of course.
