Located in the coastal mountain range of central California, Paso Robles, or "Pass of the Oaks," is close to mountains, beaches and deserts. The area has an ideal climate for wine-making; grape growing in the region began in 1797. There are now more than 170 wineries, 26,000 vineyard acres and 40 varietals of wine. Visit the thermal springs, which are said to have healing powers, or one of the more modern spring resorts in the area.

Yes! I am from Wisconsin, so I know cheese. Going to wineries and hearing them declare this place, and the owner, the experts in cheese I knew I had to go. Not only are they well versed in what to pair with specific wines, they will accommodate your tastes and make sure that you get exactly what you want. Worth a visit, and if you can't, they deliver!

What an amazing place! Delicious olive oils, an educational experience, very friendly customer service, and beautiful grounds. I had such a wonderful time at Pasolivo. I'm Italian and I thought I knew a thing or two about good olive oil, but man was I wrong and the staff at Pasolivo really walked me through all the ins and outs of olive oil. My favorite was the basil flavor. I can honestly say I use the basil oil probably once day. I highly recommend Pasolivo during your stop through wine country in Paso Robles.

We had our dog with us and decided to see if Kiler Ridge was a place we could visit with him. The olive oil tasting that we did was outside on a really nice patio with an incredible view of the surrounding area. Our dog was very welcome. Mary gave us quite an education about olive oils, how to read labels and how to do a tasting. She provided us with sliced apple to cleanse our palate between tastings. The fee for the tasting is waived depending on your olive oil purchase. She even had a biscuit for our dog. The topper was a sample of ice cream with olive oil and sea salt that was amazing. We never would have thought to combine those flavors. They also offer food on the weekends. If you are in the area, plan a visit to Kiler Ridge, taste their amazing products and take some home with you.
