See a buffalo up close, live like a cowboy for a day on a working cattle ranch or visit a stagecoach stop on the Sante Fe Trail are just a few of the many vacation experiences possible in this state in America’s heartland. You’ll love the wide-open spaces and the opportunities to engage in a variety of one-of-a-kind experiences in this marvelous state, which has the largest segment of true tallgrass prairie remaining in the U.S. Regardless of where you visit: a major metropolitan area like Kansas City, a college town like Manhattan or Lawrence or engaging places like Wichita, Dodge City and Salina, there are a wide array of attractions and sights nearby. If you want to familiarize yourself with cowboy culture, visit the Boot Hills Museum in Dodge City, dine on all-you-can-eat barbeque and hear songs of the American Cowboy at Diamond W Chuckwagon Supper in Wichita or explore the Dickinson County Heritage Center in Abilene, which has dance halls, gaming rooms and 32 saloons.
For outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching and other activities, three of the state’s most popular parks are: Cheney State Park near Wichita; Scott State Park near Scott City and Tuttle Creek State Park near Manhattan.

Our goal has always been to provide quality, familiar British products to our community. We are proud to offer one of the Midwest's largest selections of British foods, gifts and teas. We carry more than 170 blends of loose leaf tea and a large selection of bagged teas. Along side our teas, we carry a comprehensive selection of tea accessories and necessities. We enjoy sharing tea and tea knowledge with everyone from beginners to life-long tea drinkers.
The shop itself has a large selection of teas and food items, and so many cute accessories! The staff was VERY friendly and knowledgeable and VERY accommodating. Will definitely visit here again!

Magnolia Scents by Design is the world's best smelling scent shop, artisanally handcrafting natural candles and soaps! Our downtown destination store is also a micro-factory, staffed with expert chandlers (candle/soap makers) creating some of the most delectably aromatic home fragrance and body products you've ever had the pleasure to sniff. The secret to superb scents is in the ingredients. Magnolia Scents uses only the best, most natural ingredients in our products; including soy wax, essential oils, and a long list of plant based oils and butters. Not only does this give healthy and clean benefits for your home and body, but it's good for the planet too! The company started as a home-based business in 2006 with $50 in candle making supplies and a dream. Magnolia Scents by Design is Independence's first destination artisanal candle/soap micro-factory and workshop space that must be sniffed to be believed!
Wonderful candles, lotion, etc. Also lots of unique gift items. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it's fun to sample the different scents and products. And it's right downtown in historic Independence, KS!

What an awesome time here! April and her daughter handled a large group for the glass blowing (6), and it was one of the hottest days of the summer. They have a beautiful store, and learning about the properties of glass and it's different states. Worth the time and cost!
