Some of the best cheese I’ve ever tasted! Denise was amazing, knowledgeable about all aspects of cheesemaking and the yummy cheese made at Hunter Belle. The award- winning triple cream briebelle is absolutely fantastic and definitely a true favourite. The platters and meals available at the cafe are fantastic and is a great lunch in between wineries! Coming to Hunter Belle’s Cheese Room is an absolute must for any cheese lover in the the Hunter, such a great cheese tasting and and an amazing meal... Go and enjoy!

We went on a wine tour with ihop. As part of the tour we stopped at Tullochs winery for a wine and CHOCOLATE tasting. It was the best! The chocolates were from DONARCH Chocolate shop. The pairing was delish. So much so i had to visit their shop in Maitland. WOW what a surprise. What a variety. Dark, milk, strawberry, Caramel and white. Soft, hard, solid and All sorts. The lass serving us was lovely. She mentioned the owner has just opened another shop in Morpeth, and in a couple of weeks they will be decorating the shops for Christmas. Needless to say, i spent heaps to bring home. For all you chocolate lovers, this place is a must. You will be sorry if you miss it. YUMMMM.

We popped into River Flats Estate on the way home from HV. What a great find. The home made soaps/bath products/skincare are amazing. Grab yourself a jar of their home made olives and tapenades too. Highly recommend. The young kids will love it too as there are pigs and goats to check out.

Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop

Found this place as a matter of necessity as the food at our lodgings was uneditable. We stocked up on prosciutto, salumi, artichokes, eggplant and other antipasto offerings, along with some great cheeses and breads, one being pumpkin bread and a fantastic Nocciola Gelato and headed back to our lodgings, along with a couple of bottles of Cockfighter's Ghost Nebbiolo and pretended we were in Tuscany. The produce on offer is fresh and delicious, just wish they had an outlet in Sydney. Would recommend visiting this place any time you are in the Hunter.

Gartlemann Wines

Reviewed By _KK_Syd - Sydney, Australia

Some of the best wines in the Hunter Valley.. simply put. I'm a fan of reds normally and most of the Shiraz from the Hunter is harsh and has a very strong earthy taste to it, almost like your licking the ground it came from. Thankfully the wines at Gartlemann are nothing like this, smooth, refined and with great flavours. Their Sparkling Shiraz is one of the best. The team at the cellar door are awesome, Jimmy, Dave, Elliot and the rest of the team looked after us even with the COVID restrictions in place. I'm a member for life after visiting them. Highly recommended.
