The world's largest coral reef system, the Great Barrier Reef stretches almost 1500 miles into the Pacific from the tip of Queensland. Designated a Marine Park by the Australian government and a World Heritage Area by UNESCO, the reef is home to an extraordinary abundance of species and habitats. Snorkeling, diving and fishing are rightly popular along the reef, nowhere more so than on the Whitsunday Islands, where the silica sands and aqua waters of the Coral Sea create the perfect beach escape.

We have visited Todd and Lynda shop on numerous occasions ,and each time purchased many items, including gifts customized for family and friends. They never disappoint. Our last visit over the Australia long weekend was no exception. Unfortunately we had to fly home earlier than expected leaving behind most of our gifts. One call later to Todd and all our presents were posted to us in Sydney. If you are visiting Port Douglas Fun stuff by Lynda is just. Thanks again Todd and Lynda

Arcadia Store...the friendly corner store on Magnetic Island open 7 days a week...8am till 6pm. We do sell fuel for all your vehicles as well...Unleaded, Premium and Diesel. Call in and say hi to Dave and Cheryl Gribble...:)))
We came past here for food, etc for our holiday so we could make our own lunch and dinner. Great little store and the homemade baking was incredible. We kept dropping by to have more of the baking done by the owners of the store. The Bailey's Rum ball was so amazing, the lemon tart was zesty and yum and the caramel tart was incredible. Definitely go here if only to eat the baked goods, so damn good!

Amazing. Binna (Brian) is the owner and resident artist of this fantastic little aboriginal art gallery. Enjoy, and maybe buy, some of his incredible artwork but even better get Binna to coach and mentor your inner artist and paint your own. Great experience, hosted by a very genuine and lovely guy. Highly recommended

Check out this gorgeous little shop on the waterfront in Yeppoon. The minute you walk into the shop you are surrounded by the delicious scents that waft around the room. The gifts are very unique to the area and there is something for everyone. Take a little time out of your day as you stroll along the waterfront and pay them a visit, they are very welcoming.

We had read about this store in a review of good Port Douglas shops. We popped in to buy some gifts for friends and home and we weren't disappointed. I'm sure you could get something for everyone at this store - we got everything we needed in one place! Alison and Jules were really helpful and our gifts were beautifully wrapped. Friendly staff and a great range of gifts - visiting "With Sugar" was a highlight of our Port Douglas day!

A literary oasis in the tropics. We are North Queensland's absolutely fabulous independent bookshop; stocking a surprising range of GREAT BOOKS, music, cards, stationary, puzzles and games. We aim to be your 'third place' after home and work...maybe for some we're first or second. 'So often, a visit to a bookshop reminded me that there are good things in the world.' -Vincent van Gogh, 1877
