Brittany (/ˈbrɪtəni/; French: Bretagne [bʁətaɲ] ( listen); Breton: Breizh, pronounced [bʁɛjs] or [bʁɛχ]; Gallo: Bertaèyn, pronounced [bəʁtaɛɲ]) is a cultural region in the northwest of France, covering the western part of what was known as Armorica during the period of Roman occupation. It became an independent kingdom and then a duchy before being united with the Kingdom of France in 1532 as a province governed as if it were a separate nation under the crown.

It was in spring 2010 that everything began...Passionate about nature, culture, environment and beautiful gardens, without horticultural training or landscape is without external help, the feeling, the heart stroke and always with this bit of madness that guides us that we created on 2300m2 "Le jardin du hameau de Lopriac". Passionate, adventurous, we embarked on a garden project a little crazy.Starting from a sketch of existing garden and beautiful trees, on the edge of a rustic and wild flora, we wished for an Oriental-inspired garden ... It's in everyday life that we transmit to him our emotions, our moods !!! Over the years, our plant inventory continues to grow, it collects to date more than 4000 varieties ... A rhythmic visit to the sound of chimes and the song of waterfalls, a place where life is good and where time seems to stop by so much serenity our garden will not leave you indifferent, and it's with great pleasure that we open the doors of our paradise for you to discover

What a treasure! Amazing plants from foreign climes surviving so well in this maritime environment - well worth a visit if you are in the area - it packs a lot in to a small area but well thought out and planned - if you know plants you won’t be disappointed....

Inaugurated in 2001, the Manoli museum has emerged today as one of the privileged art places in Brittany. Several hundred works in eight rooms and a large garden reflect the immense talent of the artist. In this place of life and creation still hangs the memory of the sculptor, author of " Cheminée " at the Pierre et Marie Curie University , "Grande voile" at the Montparnasse train station or liturgical furniture of the Cathedral of Quimper. Manoli was interested not only in recycled materials but also in granite, the earthenware and metal which he used in uncommon ways in order to bring out characters, animals and abstract works. The result is amazing . On the green grass, among the trees, sheep clad with propellers can be seen, golden birds take off, owls born out of plows and fire are standing, and acrobats seem to invent perpetual motion. They all take us into the imaginary world of the artist.
