Alaska is divided into five regions: far north, interior, southwest, south central, and inside passage. Although it takes a long time to see the entire state, you can travel through the regions by boat, car, bus, or plane. Hike through the mountains, or venture out on a deep sea fishing or whale watching excursion. Get in touch with nature by camping in the wilderness, or experience your preferred degree of class and luxury in the beautiful, active cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks.

This garden is beautiful and inspiring in the way the gardeners have managed to grow so many different plants in some challenging circumstances. I esp enjoyed seeing the wheat - and the photo my husband took of the hummingbird moth. [I missed it!] The arboretum is a work of love:-)

Beautiful, unique, impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour to the top for a breathtaking view of Juneau. The concept of planting in upside down trees was so creative.

We enjoyed visiting these gardens. They have everything planted here from flowers to vegetables. We've been to larger areas like in Longwood Gardens in PA and Brookgreen Gardens in SC but that doesn't take away from the beauty of these. Bring a picnic lunch as they have areas with tables to relax and enjoy strolling through acres of plants, flowers, and water exhibits. The price? A small donation of 5.00 per person.

This was my second trip here but first to do the glassblowing. It was one of the best excursions I did on our Norwegian cruise. Hampton was an awesome guide and Sam did all the hard work ... Learned so much and the gardens are beautiful ... A nice complement to learning all about glassblowing and making my own ornament as a keepsake.

Take in the beauty of Alaska's native flora and northern-hardy perennials at this tranquil garden located amidst 110 acres of boreal forest. View perennial, herb, alpine rock and wildflower gardens. Walk on nature trails, enjoy our Gold Medal Peony Collection and visit our Anchorage Heritage Garden. The main paved loop is about a half mile. ABG is a completely outdoor facility with a small gift shop. There are currently no greenhouses or indoor facilities. We are open year round, but snow covered in the winter. The fence surrounding the garden keeps the moose out, but bears can come and go. ABG is a private non-profit, we received no state or municipal funding. ABG is supported by entry fees, memberships, donations, program fees, gift shop sales and corporate sponsorship. If you have any questions please feel free to visit our website or call the office. We hope you enjoy your visit and thank you for supporting the garden!
My family spent a couple of hours one evening at the Alaska Botanical Garden. We also did the nature hike around the Garden. We recommend both. The flowers and gardens are gorgeous and the staff is helpful.
