The door closes and you are locked. You and your friends have 1 hour to escape from a mysterious house by solving puzzles and mysteries. The Longest Hour in Ypres is the very first 'real life escape game' in Belgium! A unique and intense experience, for groups of 3 to 6 players. Your age is not important , teamwork is the key to finish the game!
This was our first escape room experience and we absolutely loved it! It was really great to work together with our kids (10, 13, 14) to get through all puzzles. We had to divide the work according to our abilities and work against the clock. There are 4 rooms in the house, full with different challenging and varied puzzles/challenges to solve, under the theme of WWI. You get some tips via a screen, gradually after some time if they see you are blocked in a room, to help you get to the last room. The challenges are very well thought & designed but some of them are quite difficult to solve.!!!...causing your adrenaline to dangerously rise... It is very fun to observe how we all react in a different way under this pressure. We managed to get out, but I think thanks to the comments we had gotten some from a friend who had been there before... otherwise I am not sure... But independantly of if you manage to get out or not, it is a great experience to have! I recommend it to everybody who likes puzzle solving & adrenaline levels to rise. It is a great activity to do with your family (if your kids like puzzle / challenge solving, and probably best +13, although our 10 year old solved quite some of the puzzles!). We where with 5 and we found that was the perfect number of people. With less we would have felt short of brains & hands, and with 6 we might have bumped too much into each other. We will now try other Escape Rooms in Belgium, but he have heard from friends that The Longest Hour was one of the best in the area.

Virus Escape is a unique experience. Two brand new games from the creators of The Longest Hour, the first and according to many, one of the best escape games in Belgium. Don't just play against the clock, play against each other!

Unique and highly recommended escape rooms in the center of Bruges. Try to find a way out in 60 minutes. 1. Upside Down. In this house designed by a bizarre architect, the laws of gravitation no longer prevail. A unique experience, but how will you get back in the normal world? 2. Mission Michelangelo. In 1944 German soldiers have stolen the ‘Madonna with child’ of Michelangelo from the Church of Our Lady in Bruges. Whether the famous statue will be found back, depends on your team!
My wife and I played both the upside down and the Michelangelo rooms. The upside down was very unique, and the Michelangelo room was really fun due to the heavily themed room and historical element. We played with only two players. both of these rooms are far from easy, and I would recommend playing with about four players. There's a lot to do in these rooms, and we did not escape in time. The owner and our game master was fantastic. He actually let us go into a little bit of overtime and play through because there was no booking after us. The hint system is simple since the game master is watching and listening to the entire game. Hints are delivered in a way that matches the room theme. These rooms are a good example a fantastically designed, homegrown escape rooms. Can't say enough about these rooms. if you can only do one, I highly recommend the Michelangelo room because of the seeming and local historical element.

Timescape Escape Games Oostende
Fun escape room! We did the quarantine escape room last Saturday and really had a great time. The rooms were lifelike decorated and we had to put on costumes to really identify ourselves within the scenario. The puzzels are fun, not the most difficult, but everyone had their riddles and tasks so teamwork was necessary. Would certainly recommend this escape room!! We'll certainly go back when the second room opens.

A truly original way of looking at art. This museum takes artworks makes them 3D and then explains them via a brilliant audio commentary. Adults only, not suitable for under 12's, totally excellent.

Brand new ice rink close to the center of Kortrijk and close to the main roads (R8, E17). The ice rink also has a bar with a panoramic view on the ice rink. In the bar you can find drinks and food a plenty. Schools, companies and organizations can make reservations for ice activities. The rink is the home of the ice hockey club HC Kortrijk spurs and also supports figure skating and curling.
