Bordered by the Kotorosl and Volga rivers, the historic city center of Yaroslavl is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The religious architecture is breathtaking and surreal, especially the emerald-domed Church of Elijah the Prophet and the gilded towers of the Assumption Cathedral. Numerous theaters, a philharmonic, a planetarium and a permanent circus round out the city’s art scene. Keep an eye on the time: Every hour on the hour, the proud namesake of the Monument to Bear statue gives a triumphant roar.

One of the most important Russian little charming cities , the capital of Golden ring, I recommend to stay in this city at least for 2 days , as it’s so nice to study about Russian history ( city is more 1000 years old!!!! ) and you can see this city on the Russian note ( guess which one ) Really impressed

The fountains are a part of a large park that is beautifully landscaped and includes a bear design in one of the flower beds. You can see the park best from the back side of the Cathedral. The statue is lovely as well. This is truly a beautiful site.
