After shoulder surgery needed to exercise and found this special spot. Use all the fitness stations, such a good reminder. Best part it is shaded, lots of huge old trees, so not too much sun and cooler. Even now with using our masks during covid, most people respect on another! Great find!

While visiting Vero Beach, we had a few days where it was just way too windy to walk on the beach. What a great find this park was. They have a wonderful 1 mile walking trail (in one direction), so 2 miles round trip. Well maintained and well used.

I LOVE to walk this park. It's clean, quiet and safe. Great views and seats to read or meditate and quiet your mind.

The boat ride with Captain Phil and the reserve nature guide is the best way to see America’s first Nature Preserve. The native brown pelicans are abundant after being nearly wiped out by DDT. We saw nesting brown pelicans, migrating white pelicans, many types of herons, egrets, cormorants and anhingas.

Water park that features open green space planted with palm trees, flowers and shrubs from Indian River Blvd. to the river, with businesses on each side.
We picked up a nice picnic lunch from nearby TooJay’s and cam here. Located at the end of a short business road it has ample parking, picnic benches, fishing pier , lawn to sleep or picnic on snd a wonderful spot fir kids. Ideal with amazing views of the lagoon and bridge we were mesmerized Great places for families of yourself to linger

Forget all the other state parks and beaches. This one by far was our favorite. The lagoon for viewing manatees on the west side and shade picnic areas with shower/ rinsing stations on the east side. By far the cleanest water and beach of all the ones we visited in the area. Just beware of chiggers under trees/ grassy areas and I don't recommend braving the wooded walking trails due to mosquitoes in the summer. The only exception was the manager bridge and connecting short trail to the larger lagoon which was fine.
