Bells Beach is a surf beach, best known for the annual Bells Beach Surf Classic. It's not really a paddling beach, it's more for surfers, who love Bells. The beach can be treacherous, don't take risks in the water unless you are a strong swimmer. Bells isn't all that great to look at, it's the surf that makes it famous.

An amazing drive along this coastline with so many viewing points and lovely little towns to stop in and enjoy local produce.

The Torquay Information Centre is a great place to get some information about the local area and attractions. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are lots of locally made souvenirs, such as candles, tshirts etc on sale. A highlight is the Local artist Showcase window. Every six weeks a new artist is showcased with work for sale. Support the local artists if you are looking for a unique gift.

Plenty of space, fun wooden structure to play chases or hide and seek. Lots of variety for young and old. Common strategy of parents is to bring along a picnic or lazy fish & chips then watch their children having fun from the provided tables and benches. Outdoor joy for all.

Definitely worth stopping to have a look and walk along the beach. Great for photographs too. Seems to be lots of parking available.

What a beautiful beach - at sunrise, sunset or any time in between. It is clean, staffed by life-savers so you know where to safely swim in the gorgeous surf, and play beach cricket at low tide!

Our brewery and tap room is now open... bringing you the freshest surf inspired craft beer and awesome street food from local food trucks and our resident barbeque masters Fuego. Come and have a beer a bit to eat and a look round our new brewery.
My husband really enjoyed the Blonde and Pale Ale and our friend was a fan of the stout. A little bit different and reasonable prices. Buy on tape or mixed six packs. Nice, relaxed experience and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Surfing beach with a reef break that allows for gentle waves, good for novices, and a second reef break that delivers a little more excitement.

Fisherman's Beach is the quieter of the beaches in Torquay - also known as Fisho's, by the locals. At one end you will find a boat ramp, the Salty Dog Cafe - great to grab a coffee or healthy snack from [see separate review] and Yellow Bluff [a cool looking cliff]. There is plenty of parking along the beach- on street and parking bays. This beach varies in textures from almost a clean, blonde sand to sand mixed with debris from the tide. Many people use this beach to walk their dogs or do their daily exercise. If wanting a beach that you can let your dog roam free on all year round, try Cosy Corner. A perfect place for those with children who want to learn to swim and have a cricket/frisbee/volleyball game, build sandcastles or have a picnic. As this beach is calmer than others, it offers a broader range of sporting choices. You may wish to try some of these: SUP, swimming, paddleboard, kite surfing, kayaking, snorkelling, walking, bike riding on the paths along the shore, windsurfing, sailing, jet-skiing, jogging, running - you get the idea - endless possibilities! A fun, easily accessed and relaxing place for all!

Surf's up! This entire shopping center is completely devoted to fashions, surfboards and anything else related to the sport, and also houses a surfing museum.
