Started to this temple after visiting Kasi Viswanathar temple which is 15 Kms away from there.I took a car for this trip and would suggest the same as I could hardly see any buses plying on this route.Cars can reach the Temple directly from base after paying a fee. The route to hill is very scenic with lush green. Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan with huge Bairavar Sannadhi. Only drawback is the temple administrators are switching lights inside temple which makes temple dark even on Day time. Otherwise a must visit place for God's Blessings and Scenic locales enroute to Hill.

Kasi viswanathar temple at Thenkasi is a Sivan temple (Lord Shiva) - very divine and believed to be very powerful. Temple itself is a Engineering marvel - e.g. When you walk into the temple, the wind would blow into your face and similarly even when you walk out of the temple, the wind would blow from the opposite direction into your face.. Easily accessible. Parking on the road outside the temple. Lot of small restaurants offers hygienic food around the temple. (Shorts/ Skirts, etc. not allowed)

This is a Paadal Petra Sthalam. Very historic temple. This is the Hall of Paintings or Chitra Sabai of the 5 Sabais or Pancha Sabais of Nataraja. The temple itself is shaped like a conch. The Chitra Sabai is located away from the main temple and should be missed.
