Jess's Market

Reviewed By tesiman - Blue Bell, United States

Every year for the past 10 years we stop at Jess's and pick up 4 freshly cooked 1 lb. lobsters. We then stop at either the Rockland Harbor Park (near Primos) or Owl's Head State Park to eat a lobster picnic lunch. This is what coastal Maine is all about. If we lived in the area we would be eating a whole lot of fresh fish from Jess's.

Rockland Harbor Trail

Rockland Harbor Trail is a five-mile long walking path along the City’s waterfront. The Rockland Harbor Trail is a unique community asset. It offers opportunities to highlight the City, the region’s cultural and arts community, Rockland's historic downtown, the envisioned redevelopment of Rockland’s waterfront area, and of course the Rockland Breakwater and Lighthouse.

This is a very pleasant way to experience the Rockland Harbor. The town has done a very nice job creating a wide path that allows for easy passage around the harbor. The is a wood section and a concrete section. You can find some very nice views of the Harbor by walking this path. Nearby is Harbor Park that has some interesting ship anchors on display. The path is relatively quick. You will find people doing everyone from walking dogs to jogging.
