Have been staying in Lossiemouth for two weeks so have had two visits. I'm not a beer drinker but my husband is so we booked a table. I thought as I was there I'd try a beer, Andy recommended Blonde and Hurricane for me.....I'm now a beer drinker! The other member of staff who was working was Gemma, she had really great local knowledge as well and beside the beer both Gemma and Andy made the visits really great. The takeaway service is good too.

Lovely walk from hopeman East beach, be extra careful at one point About 20 minutes in we came to a dead end with a shear drop above the cove , don’t let the kids run a head or the dogs . There is a fork in the path take the right hand side to avoid the cliff edge. Don’t let this put you off just worth knowing , the cave and cove is a great little hidden gem , rocks to climb , caves to explore all great outdoor fun and free entertainment for all ages. We ranged from age 60 down to age 3 and really enjoyed the walk . We built up an appetite and walked back to hopeman west beach for lunch , we spent a few hours in the fresh air which was just beautiful.

This is a pleasurable small walk along the burn of Letterfourie to the 17th Century Craigmin folly bridge. Please, when parking, park beside the smiddy antiques and not in front on local houses. The bridge has high unprotected drops both in and around the bridge, please take care and look after children. Please be aware there is no fairy village on the walk anymore
we went to see the bridge and were delighted to find the route through the trees is now a fairy village and the doors to all the fairy houses can be seen n either side of the path, it really does make it a magical walk. The fairies don't mind if you make a noise and you may see some of them are sitting in the trees. As with all woodland walks comfortable shoes as best, especially as the route down from the bridge to the burn below is steep and slippy, but you will be missing out if you don't go down to view the bridge from below. The bridge is phenomenal and well worth the trip.

Nestled at the foot of Ben Rinnes, in the heart of Speyside, lies The GlenAllachie Distillery (Est 1967). Acquired in 2017, The GlenAllachie Distillery is 100% Scottish owned and managed, making us one of the few independently owned distilleries in Scotland. The most exciting part of rediscovering a brand is learning about the depth, character and quality that lies deep within each cask - we've unlocked an exceptional single malt, do you dare to discover? VISITOR CENTRE OPENING HOURS: October 2020 Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Amazing tasting with Graham and Karen. With the unknowns around COVID at the moment we had booked in to do a tour and tasting and had great communication from Karen beforehand. On the day of the tasting we were warmly greeted by Graham and Karen and followed the COVID secure rules. The tasting included 4 drams and a wee glass to take away. Graham ran the tasting and his knowledge was fantastic , guiding us through a virtual tour of the distillery and the tasting of the drams. He was full of whisky knowledge and could answer all our questions. The handmade still & mash tun were brilliant. In the shop the service was equally as friendly and it ended a wonderful visit to the distillery. Would highly recommend a visit.

This castle was built in 1140 AD and is the best-preserved example of a 12th-century moat-and-bailey style structure.
Duffus castle is loved by kids, a castle ruin that they can climb over and big hills to roll down along with the moat that surrounds it, a great place to visit and take a picnic and kite to on a nice day, parking is ok, although can be busy in the summer months and only a single track road in and out !!

When James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail announced the opening of their 'centrical and commodious premises' on South Street,Elgin, on 24th May 1895 they would be proud to see it still trading today. Stocking around 1000 different single malt whiskies, the Whisky Room attracts customers from throughout the world. Browsing through the wide selection of whiskies, many of which are very old and extremely rare, is like entering the Aladdin’s Cave of whisky. Please note that the Delicatessen section of the store is currently closed until further notice.
Amanda MacDonald gave us a very warm welcome to her department. Whisky, gin and other lovely selections of rare and unusual alcoholic purchases were available. We were introduced to the Benromach winter gin ‘Red Door’ which was delicious and remained warm in the back of our throats even after leaving the shop. Amanda explained the background and process of the gin extremely well and then informed us about the gin tour which is available at the Benromach Distillery For only £8 entrance fee. Thank you Amanda, I’m sure we will have a great time.

The visitor experience was excellent - great location and fantastic whisky samples. The tour was most enjoyable, as was the café. The shop also offered an outstanding selection of whiskies and other memorabilia.
