The principal town and capital of French St. Martin, Marigot is an appealing spot with brightly colored houses, a scattering of restaurants and lively produce and crafts markets. It’s a great base for exploring St. Martin’s secluded beaches (many clothing optional) and its more vibrant, family-popular ones. Marigot is within easy reach of the famed restaurants at nearby Grand Case, said to have the Caribbean's best dining. Kept temperate by trade winds, Marigot stays warm and sunny year-round.

The Wall of Art is an outdoor museum that was created by French Artists after Hurricane Irma to show the resilience of the people of Saint-Martin to rebuild their beautiful island. It is a colorful wall full of love, passion and inspiration of over 15 artists. It is a km long....
I’ve been coming to St Martin for years (before and after hurricane Irma) and everything about this island is magic. From the beaches to its people, a more beautiful island can’t be found! The Wall of Art was built partially to show the people’s strength and endurance after the tragedy of Irma but also to give locals and visitors a sense of hope and to feel as though you are truly part of this magical place. The Homage Hotel (formally Mercure) and its staff helped to organize this amazing art installation and it’s such a lovely part of the experience as you travel from one end of the island to the other. It’s an incredible piece of art but more importantly it symbolizes the island mentally of community and support! A must see!!!!

A wonderful place to visit! The gallery is not operating with normal hours during this Pandemic, but you can email them and they will set an appointment to meet with you. Laura and Roland graciously opened up the gallery for us to view the artwork, and the beautiful, historic house. His plein air paintings showcase the island and its people, and you can feel the light coming from the canvases. The artist took the time to talk to us about his work, and various pieces, and we purchased a painting that will always remind us of our time here, and of Sir Roland. The property is amazing, with a lovely garden. If you come to St. Martin, don't miss this. Just send them a message through their website.

La Casa Del Habano is a Cuban franchise store , we sell real cuban cigars and smoker accessories ,also you can find a selection of coffee, chocolate, champagne , alcool and Italian wine . We are on the French side of the island. The store is located "Port la Royale" street, the entrance faces the street across from a cimentary and it's between the restaurant " le Tropicana " and the restaurant " le Croissant Royal" .
Had the pleasure of being in Saint Martin and wanted a redo Cuban cigar experience. Anise was amazing in helping find everything I needed. Even recommended the cigar I posted. Now I know why Cuban cigars are the best. Cabt wait to come back.

Those who hike to the top of the island's highest mountain are rewarded with wonderful views.
It's the highest leak on the island. You can stop at Loterie Farms and hike up. The hike is sort.of challenging....bring water and take your time! Jump in the pool when you get back. There's also a road all the way to a top with a short ten min hike to the peak! AMAZING VIEWS! you must do this!

With steps to get to the top, it’s a very short and doable climb. The view is so pretty! The history of Fort Louis is quite interesting.

Bordered by outdoor cafés, restaurants, and shops, Marina Port la Royale, right in the heart of Marigot, is a pleasant place to visit at any hour of the day.
This port shows you half of the French side. Surrounded by restaurants, jewelry shops, the fish market days and outdoor markets. Hard to navigate with a car. Best to take a taxi. Buy a fresh squeezed coconut drink and sit on the dock to chill. Sunset is magnificent. Lots of people watching.
