Lovely cathedral, easy access and information provided in English. A very nice Plaza as well. Worth a visit

This well laid out museum covers the history of the Lorca area right back to 3500 BC with excellent displays and the main info boards in English as well as Spanish. Upon arrival the guide at the desk gave us an excellent overview of the different areas within the museum and answered a number of our questions, we then followed his advice and the helpful signage through the different rooms for a really enjoyable and informative couple of hours. Highlights were the ancient tomb finds and the wonderful coin and medal collection. Not to be missed!

We came here primarily for the tourist office at the far end of the Plaza, but there are two good bars in the square where you can grab a drink and tapas. One is an Irish bar, but we happened to choose the other one, which was participating in the Tapas festival (a 9 day festival in mid April). Prices of drinks were good, service was excellent and we enjoyed sitting in the square watching the world go by.
