Pennsylvania Dutch country is a fascinating destination to explore. Visitors will get a glimpse of farm life as it was in the early 1800s. Visit markets and farm stores for homemade shoofly pie and fresh produce, or shop for a handmade quilt. President James Buchanan's elegant home, Wheatland, is no less historic but contrasts sharply to the simpler Pennsylvania Dutch heritage sites in Lancaster. Consider a side trip to nearby Hershey, home of Hershey Park and the Hershey chocolate factory.

Walked to St. Mary's from the Central Market to see one of the oldest Catholic churches standing on its original sight. Church was open and getting ready for daily mass when we got there about 11:00. Beautiful stained glass, awe inspiring altar and a quiet and reverent church. We try to visit Catholic churches on our visits and St. Mary's was impressive and memorable. Beautiful, Holy spot!!

Part of Historic Downtown Lancaster City, Christiane David Gallery adds a generous stroke of color to a community that is already rich in culture and interest.

I've been to this store as well as their Bethlehem, PA and Annapolis, MD locations. I've no doubt their fourth location in New Jersey is just as good. The staff at each store is extremely knowledgable and friendly; they just make the whole experience a fun one. Of course, the best reason to patronize Seasons is the high quality of their balsamic vinegars. I've tried many specialty stores for really good balsamic vinegar and Seasons is the best.

Great market, great assortment of vendors - local people with local goods. Something for everyone. Cannot wait to visit again the next time we are in Lancaster.

In these unique times we were blessed to be able to livestream Holy Week services. Many Thanks to Father Hahn and Father Logue. We were able to Keep The Faith at home. Peace.

We personally specialize in flat glass (stained glass panels, lamps, sun catchers), however, our store features fine American pottery, paperweights, marbles, jewelry, tiles, leather products, hand-painted glassware, night-lights, and much more!

We stopped in here for an after dinner stroll and had a lovely turn around the lake-- no hills and good for strollers or kids on bikes. It was great to see a lot of families and other groups out enjoying the nice weather and pretty views. There looked like there were lots of things to do here-- a petting zoo, outdoor performances, etc.

BUiLDiNG CHARACTER is a fantastic collection of 70+ shops ~ at home in 10,000-square-feet of historic warehouses ~ in the heart of Downtown Lancaster's premiere shopping areas, the 300 Block of North Queen Street. It's a place where shoppers can spend hours perusing recycled brand name clothing and accessories, handmade jewelry and metalcraft, antiques and collectibles, and handmade greeting cards and ornaments by local craftspeople, most of whom employ green practices and recycling methods to create their inventory.
Had such an awesome time walking through the large warehouse. Each booth has artwork from so many talented local artists. Also some great vintage finds. Definitely one of the gems of downtown Lancaster.
