A great place to walk, lawn bowl, skateboard and watch a baseball game. There are other activities as well. Lots of people out on sunny days but plenty of space to get around.

I always go to this park when I go through Kamloops. I have done this with my own children in the 1970s and now with grandchildren. It is beautifully maintained with walking and cycling paths, playgrounds, spray park, picnic areas and beautiful groomed gardens along the river.

Situated on the banks of the North Thompson River in Kamloops, Debbie and John Woodward invite you to their "Private Heaven". The result of their years of patience, care and quiet passion: PRIVATO. Crafted in small quantities, PRIVATO creates premium-quality, single-vineyard Burgundy wines. From their quaint and intimate tasting room to the picnic area and vineyards, the experience truly exudes a sense of charm. As Debbie puts it, "there is not a day that goes by that we don't truly appreciate and marvel at the loveliness of the vineyard right outside our back door. I'm convinced that the experience our visitors have here along with the quality of the wine is what brings them back again and again." TASTING ROOM HOURS 2019; May through October 13 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, October 14-27 Thursday-Sunday 11:00 am-4:00 pm, November 23-December 22 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. See website for new Winery Experiences. Wheelchair accessible, children and pets welcome.
Our group of three stopped by the winery today and had the loveliest of experiences... the grounds, the tables scattered around the lawns, the chickens wandering by the coop, it was gorgeous! And then there was the young lady hosting the outdoor tasting tables, (we think her name was May?) She managed numerous tasting groups singlehandedly...joking, smiling, keeping the tables sanitized and safe... she was amazing...The wine was delicious and we left with several bottles. And we’ll be back, we are locals and will certainly bring friends throughout the summer... thanks for a great day!

Funny. I saw this place on a map. Large. The idea of a grasslands appealed to me. But when I checked into the Hampton Inn, the friendly staff was not familiar with they location which is just across the river. We loved this grasslands. The gravel roads are in good shape. Nice wild flowers, birds, and a marmot. Started out rather sparse, but as we drove higher it got wetter and greener and eventually we reached the tree line.

You will see and meet plenty of local people and tourists at this community walk-through farmer's market. There are plenty of opportunities to purchase fruit, vegetables, baked goods and collectibles as well as other vendors at this well-located community event each week in the heart of Kamloops' downtown. Come and enjoy. Pets are welcome also...

The first winery to open in Kamloops Harper's Trail Estate Winery, named for the cattle drive "trail" of pioneer rancher Thaddeus Harper, is the first winery from Kamloops. Tucked into the city outskirts on the bank of the South Thompson River, Thadd Springs Vineyard sits among rolling hills of sage and grass, home to Bighorn sheep, bears, and myriad birds. The backdrop of limestone, Hoodoos, and a natural spring set the biodiversity of this rare place. Harper's Trail wines are Thompson Okanagan grown and made, reflective of the region's terroir that show gorgeous minerality and crisp acidity. Visit today and taste the untamed land..
