I always go to this park when I go through Kamloops. I have done this with my own children in the 1970s and now with grandchildren. It is beautifully maintained with walking and cycling paths, playgrounds, spray park, picnic areas and beautiful groomed gardens along the river.

Our group of three stopped by the winery today and had the loveliest of experiences... the grounds, the tables scattered around the lawns, the chickens wandering by the coop, it was gorgeous! And then there was the young lady hosting the outdoor tasting tables, (we think her name was May?) She managed numerous tasting groups singlehandedly...joking, smiling, keeping the tables sanitized and safe... she was amazing...The wine was delicious and we left with several bottles. And we’ll be back, we are locals and will certainly bring friends throughout the summer... thanks for a great day!

Funny. I saw this place on a map. Large. The idea of a grasslands appealed to me. But when I checked into the Hampton Inn, the friendly staff was not familiar with they location which is just across the river. We loved this grasslands. The gravel roads are in good shape. Nice wild flowers, birds, and a marmot. Started out rather sparse, but as we drove higher it got wetter and greener and eventually we reached the tree line.
