Fayetteville is the third-largest city in Arkansas and county seat of Washington County. The city is centrally located within the county and has been home of the University of Arkansas since the institution's founding in 1871. Fayetteville is on the outskirts of the Boston Mountains, deep within the Ozarks. The four-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area is ranked 105th in terms of population in the United States with 463,204 in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. The city had a population of 73,580 at the 2010 Census. At 1,400 feet of elevation, it is also one of the highest major US cities between the western Great Plains and the Appalachian Mountains.

This is a wonderful place to visit if you are at all interested in history and appreciate the aesthetics of all of the pretty white headstones neatly lined up, rows and rows and go on and on. It’s a really cool site to see and the additional information to read along the way brings some of its history to life.

Stunning! One word best describes the amount and depth of the titles & volumes of pre-owned books of EVERY TYPE. In business since the early 1970's, this comfortable and friendly store contains rows upon rows of books and magazines. Cluttered room after room of all genres, fiction and non-fiction, all with extremely reasonable prices. It's literally every readers best choice with titles reaching from Julius Caesar's personal accounts of his battles with the Gaul's, everything about Civil War history (over 200 titles), World War I & II, Founding Fathers, Explorers, Biographers, Music, Medical, Cooking, Educators, Scientists, People & Places of the World, Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Self-Help, to every type of conceivable interest. This library has won all sorts of awards and recognition. There is a coffee shop inside so you can check out a book and have a cup of joe. The architecture alone is worthy of the visit.

We drove down from KC to explore the Greenway. We parked at Fayetteville Lake and rode 20 miles. The Greenway is a gorgeous paved path. We shared the path with walkers and skateboarders. A great place for families and friends to be outdoors.

I am glad that this cemetery has respectfully maintained our American history. It is a slippery slope to remove Confederate statues and history. It is part of our history and important to remember. Not black or white but American History with all of its warts.

Visited the lake which has a walking/bike path with a nice view of the water. There is also boat pedal and kayak rentals, docking areas for fishing and boating. Very good location.

This is a great side trip if you are at the square for the Farmers Market or some other event. It takes wonderful pictures. I have photographed several couples in front of it, and it is always a favorite out of the photo shoot!
