It's an unspoiled beach of Orissa near Chandipur, nearest town is Jaleswar (40 km by road). Not sure why it has not been explored much by tourists, probably because there are no hotels and restaurants within 50 km radius. Also no public transportation till date. It's a flat stretch of 5 km golden sand beach where we enjoyed free car driving for hours with no one to stop or disturb. There were only a handful of local kids who were taking bath. There is a casuarina bay along the beach which added a romantic touch to the place. One can visit the beach while returning from Chandipur or take a daytrip from Digha (55km either side). Only caution - the village road from Dagara Beach to the highway passes through three notorious villages (often in news for crimes). So, it is advisable to hit the highway before sunset.

A modern temple complex dedicated to Lord Jagannath with stunning architecture. It is about 30 minutes away from the town of Balasore and I highly recommend a visit to this place if you are planning to trip to this part of India. A true architectural masterpiece indeed and very peaceful.

Exactly what we said was RELAXING. We went just to relax ourselves from our day to day activity. We loved the silent evening of the village, the roaring sound of the sea (though sea plays hide and seek) and the cool gush of wind releasing all ur stress at the beach with taking sip of coconut water... ???????????? Come and relax. We stayed in Arpita Beach Resort booked from goibibo, 10 min walk to sea. Ambiance and staff were good and its restaurant had tasty food with reasonable price. Loved my 2 night 3 days trip. If you have time you can have a half day local sightseeing. U will enjoy. Must visit Emami Jagannat temple.

Fabulous when in full glory.. Visited the falls while on the way to Ooty via 36 hair pin bend route. Its a small hike away from the main road. The falls was visible from far away.. Seeing it up close was a treat to the eyes. The rapids after the falls also is beautiful and can play in water.. Myself and family enjoyed the visit. You have to climb down around 150 steps to reach the foot of the falls. A must visit if you are nearby ooty or bandipur during monsoon.
