About an hour's drive from Kaziranga. You will have to park your vehicle about 1 km from the falls. Dont forget to carry slippers, you will have to walk through several streams. Shoes will get wet and walking barefoot will be problematic, so do carry your slippers. The walk will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Comfortable distance, manageable terrain. Carry your costume, towel etc, if you wanna take a dip in the falls. The falls are beautiful, not crowded. Clean and peaceful place. You can spend about an hour or two over there. The water is chilled and refreshing. Some local villagers sell pineapples, Bamboo chicken etc close by, u can try that, it's good. Overall, a nice place to go n enjoy. P.S - Falls are almost like Doodhsagar falls - in Goa

Located atop of a small Nilachal hill at Guwahati, the temple has a very unique history and is the most popular temple dedicated to Goddess Shathi (Bleeding Goddess) in India. The temple premises are clean and well maintained but mostly crowded, even during weekdays. One has to be there at early morning hours to get lined up for the free dharsan of the deity and the dharsan inside main tower, closes at 1300hrs. Special dharsan (500 bucks per head) facility is also available but tickets can be booked at the early dawn hours, on the same day of dharsan. A big tower along with a few nearby towers with kalasams at the top appears so divine and graceful, representing the great marvels of indian traditional architecture. Daily Annadhanam available between 1200 to 1500 hrs and is very very well managed by the temple authorities. Cameras and mobiles are allowed inside the premises but photography inside the main tower is prohibited. Special facilities like waiting room, wheel chairs etc for differently abled and old people are provided by the temple authorities and it is really worth tonnes of thanks and appreciation.

The Samaguri Satra members excel in mask making specific to the Ramayana characters and others too. We were fortunate to meet the main artisan who gave us a guided tour of the facility. The masks are first made from bamboo and clay then features made from cow dung and final layer of clay, then painted. The masks also have a recess for the chin that moves the lower jaw of the mask while the character speaks! Another thing of note was the handcrafted hats and purses etc which are made from water Hyacinth! (a weed that has not much use otherwise that I know of!) An entertaining and awe inspiring visit!

I love to be in Chandubi for an overnight stay in Chandubi jungle camp.Iwas there this Christmas holidays with my school friends. For staying, tents and mud cottages with thrashed roof are available amidst nature. One can enjoy sitting by the campfire, listening to the sound of jackals calls. Wake up in the morning by the sound of birds chirping or in the winter, sound of dew drops falling over thrashed roof or on the ground. Chandubi lake is around 65km away from Guwahati. It takes about 2 to 2 and half hour to reach by road from Guwahati. Chandubi is a natural lake, formed during earthquake in 1897 when forest went down to form this lake. This lake is situated in the foot hills of Garo hills.A big and beautiful lake with surrounding small, very clean, ideal tribal villages on both side of the lake. One can enjoy tracking to the village and nearby small water falls.People are predominantly of Rabha community. One can also enjoy local food and their handicraft and culture. This place is also reach in flora and fauna. Can be a ideal place for bird watchers and wildlife photographers too.

It's a replica & 2nd only to the original Shri Jagannath temple in Puri, Odhisha. The revered Hindu deities including the Supreme Shri Jagannath & also the architectural grandeur of the temples in the Shrikshetra Dham, which is how it is generally referred to, are a major attraction & awe inspiring at the same time.
