We think of this business as the Magic Carpet Shop after our lovely experience with Adil, his brother Imran, and their staff. It is a cool and calming place to choose a new family heirloom. I can see why they win awards from Trip Advisor every year! The carpets are all traditionally hand made, fair trade, no child labour, and are stitched immaculately. I learned a lot about how to tell a real carpet from a machine made one, and my feet had a great time ;) The brothers are not at all pushy, the prices are fair, and DHLshipping means that I don't have to schlepp it home myself or spend half my holiday working out how to post it home. And the colours! I'm a fabric and pattern freak, and appreciated the big range - from traditional Persian reds to contemporary boho aqua to black and tan modern - in all the sizes, plus some ridiculously beautiful wall hangings thick with precious stones. Adil and Imran managed to turn what could have been just a trip to a rug shop into a full-blown experience, complete with milky chai, laughs, very kind hearts, and a piece of India we will treasure forever. Oh, and they arranged transport for us to get there too :))

Sheroes, here, are mostly women who have fought back for life and survival through heinous chemical burns and are now, on a course to define themselves as 'fighters'. Courageous fighters who walk with scars. And this Hangout is where empowerment of women no more remains a widely funded phenomena, but materialises in form of a readers' cafe, an activism workshop, a community radio hub.
Absolutely heart breaking to hear stories from girls who has faced acid attack. It was my second time here and this is definitely the place I want to support every time I’m visiting Agra! No doubts! You should too!☝️ Delicious food and super friendly service as you can already imagine. Food & drinks are donation based. There is no pricing in the menu. My advice; be generous. Don’t count your pennies in here! They really need all help they can get.❤️ You will see a video where girls are telling their stories. Beware to cry.... and then you understand what I’m talking about. Very emotionally experience. Love❤️

The Missionaries of Charity (Latin: Missionariarum a Caritate) is a Roman Catholic (Latin Church) religious congregation established in 1950 by Mother Teresa, now known in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta. In 2012 it consisted of over 4,500 religious sisters. Members of the order designate their affiliation using the order's initials, "M.C." A member of the congregation must adhere to the vows of chastity, poverty, obedience, and the fourth vow, to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor."[1] Today, the order consists of both contemplative and active branches in several countries.
