Most of Thuringia is within the watershed of the Saale, a left tributary of the Elbe. The capital is Erfurt.

Lovely fountain with two statues, one male and one female, into whose hans simeons had put a rose- very funny, surrounded by a small flowerbed with flowers of different colours.
