This is more than just a meal, it’s a complete experience. The passion that Ben and Rachel have for the farm to table concept they have built here is obvious. When you choose the Chefs Table experience, Rachel shows you exactly what you’ll be eating growing in front of you, explains how it’s grown, and has you try the herbs you’ll taste again in your meal. Seated around a communal table, you can watch as Ben assembles each dish, before explaining the dish to you as it is delivered. The flavours are nuanced, yet intense. The dishes, so beautifully presented, showcase the best of what FNQ and this home garden in particular offers. By the end of the meal, you truly appreciate the effort and labour of love that is required for this duo to deliver such amazing food. This was my second last “restaurant” meal of my trip to Port Douglas, and it blew me away. It was so good, my final meal paled in comparison despite the venue’s long held reputation. Don’t hesitate - book today!

OK All ... you won't find a friendlier, more atmospheric and cute little bar than The Conservatory Bar in Cairns City ... and you definitely won't find a more knowledgeable owner/bar person on the subject of all things of an alcoholic nature that Ross! It's always a pleasure to saunter into this place and be greeted like an old friend by Ross and (sometimes) his missus. He'll always remember your preferences and will frequently suggest something that may be a little better or 'different' (I've got to trust him explicitly :-) ). If you have more than just a champagne taste Ross will find and sell you a glass (or bottle if your bank balance permits) of the rarest and most beautiful wines you'll find anywhere. Sadly my credit cards have a limit ... but I enjoy Ross's magical G'n'T's on a most regular basis. The atmosphere resembles a good friends stately sitting room ... red leather Chesterfield sofas and an older World charm ... but ... it ain't that 'large' so get there early and grab the best bit of red leather you can find. If that fails there's still plenty of room outside in the fresh air courtyard. Oh yeah ... ask Ross about his Wine Tasting evenings ... where he shares his wealth of knowledge on all things 'grape' ;-) ... Just do it ...
