Blackhawk Winery & Vineyard is a family owned winery. Our winemaker, John, specializes in dry and semisweet wines made from locally sourced grapes, in addition to the grapes from our own vines. The varietals used are French American hybrids, a delightful change from the more typical California types. The winery is also home to a small working farm, so there are lots of animals for the kids to see. Saturdays and Sundays include live music (May through October). You can bring your own picnic or purchase pizza or snacks in the tasting room. The production space and the tasting room are combined, allowing guests to view the production operation while doing their tasting.
Love this winery. All wines are good, especially cherry and lemon (if you like sweet wine). Free musical entertainment on weekends. Great place to go relax and have a glass of wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed tasting various California wines available and learning about Peace Water sales benefitting area charities.

Sun King Tap Room and Small Batch Brewery at 7848 E. 96th St. in Fishers, IN. The 6,000 square-foot space is home to a three-barrel brewing system and a tap room featuring event space for community and private events. The tap room is open to the public for carryout growler, can, and keg sales (no Sunday keg sales). Sun King offers pint sales and sampling flights Monday – Sunday. The Sun King Tap Room and Small Batch Brewery is an all ages space, but you must be 21+ years of age to enjoy independent Indiana craft beer.
Looking for fun things to do in Indy with some old friends and stumbled across (and into) Sun King Brewery. We went on the Brewery Tour which was great. Highlights include 1) eating toasted oats & other grains 2) getting high off the fumes of burning hops in the back room. Finished off the tour with some samples at the bar. Almost puked trying one of their sours. Pretty sure it was literally just Cherry NyQuill™️ but it got the job done so what am I complaining about. Highly recommend for families.

We're glad we can finally review this facility; as we've been stopping here for years, on our way home from trips to Indy (especially now that it's open year round). There is a large selection of items from which to choose: produce, homemade bakery/breads, bulk candies/noodles/snacks/etc. The cheese variety is marvelous; with numerous samples always available. The deli area is well-maintained and stocked with various meats and prepared options. One of the major reasons for our regularly stopping in, is their tasty fried chicken (if one sits in the parking area awhile, it quickly becomes obvious that this is a prime choice shared by many of those stopping here). Of course, their ice cream is also a strong motivation for a quick visit. It's been interesting watching this operation grow from a seasonal outlet, to a fulltime market. Obviously, they're doing something right.
