We had the most amazing Lindt Chocolate Cake Baking experience with Dimo and his team as our year end team building. They were able to “connect” with each and everyone in the class, did not matter if you were 10 or 65 years of age. Dimo have a really great way of explaining the methods to the class and we learned so much about the history of Lindt and all the effort that goes into making their fantastic range of chocolates that I will never look at chocolate the same again - an absolute must if you ever visit Cape Town and will make a great family outing or like in our case a team building. Super plus point is that it is a Strictly Halaal activity.

Cape Of Storms Distilling Company

Come try Cape Town's very own Craft Rum in a hidden courtyard. Taste three completely different Rums and get a free Distillery tour. We are a family owned and run Craft Rum distillery and tasting room based in Salt River, Cape Town. Our Rum is made entirely by us using African blackstrap molasses and a modernized version of a centuries old Caribbean process.

Distillers Union is fresh on the Woodstock distillery scene. We landed at the Distillers & Union for a gin and snack pairing which was offered on Hyperli at the time. The gins all have completely different flavour profiles which are perfectly paired with delicious local garnish. Simon was a lovely host to us ladies out for the tipple and answered all our silly questions happily. He is a true gin enthusiast who took the time to show us the process they use to make their gin along with all the machinery.

This is a very family friendly winery that offers outdoor seating and treats. The tasting room is an old Dutch Colonial Manor house and it is the oldest winers in the area (early 1600's). The wines are good and servers knowledgeable, but mostly it's just a relaxing place with a large lawn.

I highly recommend Glen Carlou as part of a wine-tasting tour. The setting is spectacular, nestled in a valley and surrounded by mountains and a lake. There is a great contemporary art gallery that you can wander through, (all works are for sale and not stupidly priced at all). after your tasting, take the time to sit on their beautiful balcony with a bite and more wine. I especially loved their Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot wines. The grounds are lovely too. Take your time here, it’s good for your palate and your soul. One of my two favorite wineries.

This was our first visit to Lourensford. what a breathtakingly beautiful venue! Very well organised, right from the parking, friendly professional staff attending with friendly welcoming smiles. We were a group of 6 friends, together to celebrate my husband's birthday! Service at the Millhouse restaurant was fabulous. Happy staff attending , nothing was too much trouble. The pizzas were delicious. We sat outside on the deck. We did a wine tasting in the cellar after lunch, which was fun and informative and, this is a wine estate we will definitely be inviting all our friends to visit, and we'll be back! We also enjoyed the looking at the diverse Art in the Art gallery. Restrooms were pristine. This is a place to spend the day and chill and just enjoy the beauty.
