Red Duck are a great independent craft brewery with a terrific selection of beers. 6 taps (5beers and a guest Ginger Beer) on tap plus a wider range in cans. All beers were really good and well worth trying, with them all different but very drinkable. The Expresso Joe Coffee Dark Lager was a standout. Only issue was that I was driving, so limited how many beers I would try. But that was solved by picking up a party slab with a mixture of their canned beers so I can enjoy the rest later to try the full range. Drop in, sit in the brewery and see the process in action, try the beers and chat to the friendly owners.

Ballarat Farmers Market runs on the 2nd & 4th Saturday each month, from 9 am - 1 pm. Operated by local climate action group BREAZE, this market allows locals to reduce food miles, directly support farmers & get great fresh produce. Items available vary depending on the season, but typically include fresh produce (organic and not), coffee, hot food, sour dough bread, general bakery products, wine, fresh ground coffee beans, vegetarian prepared foods, cheese, mushrooms (fresh and processed), dry goods (dried grains, beans & similar), olive oil, health bars, seed crackers, Indian take-away, organic lamb, soap, gnocchi & other fresh pasta, plants & seedlings, sausage sizzle and live music. There are regular cooking demonstrations and stalls featuring local community groups. Location near massive children's playground, botanical gardens & lake means you can combine a visit to the market with other family activities. See you soon! :)
This fabulous market is on twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, so plan you visit to get it in your itinerary! Fresh local vegies, meat, plants, bread, cakes and the fundraising sausage sizzle for the local Lions Club! Great take away food, for a snack, or to gram breakfast or lunch! Great buskers make it fun, and sometimes there are cooking demonstrations or other information sessions. If it is your first time at the market, or if you bring a friend, you can get a free ticket into the hamper draw! My friend Annie won a great big basket of stuff, donated by all the stall holders. You can buy more chances to twin for a dollar! A great market to explore in the morning - plan for about an hour.
