Chile's Valle Central, a verdant valley tucked between the Andes and the coastal mountain ranges, has a mild climate and moist soil perfect for grape growing. Made up of four distinct wine regions, Maipo, Rapel, Curico and Maule, the area is criss-crossed by well-traveled wine roads. At the northern end of the valley is Maipo, the oldest of Chile's wine regions, famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon. At the opposite end is Maule, which still grows Pais, the first grape brought to South America.

It is a historic flea market where you can find everything: antiques, art, vintage clothing, books, plants, video games, photographs, articles for the house, among others. In addition, it has a wide variety of restaurants for all preferences. The Persa Victor Manuel is also a reference of urban art in Santiago: It has murals inside and outside made by renowned artists. the free urban art tours are announced by our instagram @persavictormanuel

Local raw atmosphere, mixing with the local people in a huge crowded, chaotic, colorful, wall to wall bodies, eclectic market buying fruits, vegetables, fish, and incredible Venezuelan empanadas! Enjoy - you will not regret. We went on a Saturday around 11AM - 1PM - late summer. Fabulous. Highlight of trip! Won't see many tourists here!!!!!!!!

This market has a great location--really close to the Santa Lucia metro station. The selection was great; I'd recommend taking time to explore all of the stalls if you have time. A lot of the stalls have similar items (e.g., magnets, mugs, etc.), but this means that you can really search for the best one for you. Additionally, there are some other stalls that are more unique so keep looking! I imagine that there's something for everyone.

Unique architecture and street musicians accompany a plethora of dining options, where seafood is abundant in this South American food court.
They say that the best way to know the heart if a city is visiting its public market. Tha architecture is old and unique, stands with colorful and delicious fruit, fresh seafood, small and big restaurants offering typical dishes and the people working there, the best of all.
