Proving a firm favourite with us to treat ourselves, when possible, to lunch here when the dog is at the Groomers on the same site. On this occasion we scanned in and were offered a choice of two tables, as we were going to have paninis and coffees for lunch we went for table by the wood burning stove tucked away to one side, as other than a staff member top the stove up with wood twice we didn't have anyone walking past us. Track and trace had only recently come in with QR codes to be scanned on arrival. Easily done and no issues though. I had the steak and brie hot sandwich and it was very very nice !! Equally my daughters lunch with the hand cut chips was good - I was partial to stealing a few chips as they were amazing !! Then we just sat there with a coffee, no rush, until the groomer called my mobile phone to say our dog was ready for collection. There are other shops you could browse here too and a small petting area with animals popular with children, lovely place to stop off.....be warned the cafe does get busy ...one day I might get around to trying the tempting looking cake ! Note - Dogs are allowed inside too !!! In the summer there are often tables outdoors too, but once into autumn mostly indoors.

What a lovely day is to be had here if you want safe and peaceful family fun. The maze felt safe with plenty of room, fun games to play in the field afterwards (bean bag throwing games, go karts, space hoppers etc) and comfy hay bales to sit on and enjoy the sun and scenery. Beef burgers are home made and generously sized; and the Maizy Moo icecream is really delicious. No e numbers, just from the cow, with flavourings if you want them. One of my favourite summer outings...

Great choice of ice creams made on the premises. Our favourite is Bakewell Tart ice cream. They also sell their own milk too. It is great here on open farm Sunday as well as you get to go around the farm and see the milking sheds and how they make their ice cream and milk :)

We come here with our 1 year old very often and have done so since she was born. It's a muddy walk when it's been raining which can make it difficult with the pram. I'm a typical dry day it's lovely, there's plenty of animals to see and they're all quite friendly so the kids get a good look. There's a cafe with a play area that's also really good, they've just redone the play area so it's even better and the hot chocolate is delicious!

Lawns Farm Shop

Reviewed By hezzie2125 - Rotherham, United Kingdom

We've been going to Lawns Farm Shop for years, the staff are really friendly and the food is top notch. Home made food and other locally sourced, high quality products and of course their lovely milk produced from the cows on the farm. Really meaty sausage rolls and large scotch eggs that don't have a big gap between the egg and sausage meat like the mass produced stuff so are really tasty and filling. They have milk, cheese, pies, ready meals, chutneys, sauces, coffee's cooked ham, home made dripping and delicious potted meat, fresh duck and hen eggs, black pudding, sausages, bacon, Barnsley chops, liver, gammon etc etc, we had a rump steak last week and it was so tender it was like eating fillet steak. There's usually a fruit and veg stall at the weekends and occasionally the Coffee Rover makes it in to serve barista coffee straight from converted Land Rover. The courtyard parking is small but there's now overspill parking straight across and it's on a quiet country road. Lawns just keeps getting better and better, we love going.

Boston Park Farm Maize Maze

Boston Park Farm is still a traditional working farm, our animal trail allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and on special days we have animal handling sessions. The whole experience is geared up to suit children up to around 10 years old. We have outdoor play equipment, a mini maze and bale pyramid also inside there is a soft play area which is suitable for babies and toddlers and a large indoor sandpit. You and your child can have hours of fun exploring everything we have to offer here at the farm. We have a Maize Maze which is open from Mid July until the end of October each year. Pleas see our website for admission prices and opening times.
