From sun-drenched archipelagos and bustling urban cities to snowcapped mountains and semi-arid deserts, Spain epitomizes geographical diversity. As the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, this vast country offers some of Europe’s most dramatic landscapes, as well as some of its tastiest cuisine.

Dating from 1784, Son Siurana is set in grounds of more than 100 hectares amongst almond and fig trees and a pasture where sheep are free to graze. Son Siurana invites its guests to feel at home in a high quality finca with modern conveniences whilst enjoying authentic Mallorcan country life. Amongst beautiful countryside, terrace, gardens and a swimmingpool, you will enjoy a wonderful relaxing holiday. Within the grounds there are long walks with many paths affording magnificent views. Depending on the season, guests will be able to pick up organic fruit and vegetables from the garden The houses and junior suites are decorated in typical Mallorcan style, featuring handmade ceramics and rustic antique furniture. The accommodation comprises houses and apartments for 2 or 4 persons and junior suites.
A stunning boutique country escape in a lovely quiet part of Majorca. The premises are rustic and charming with plenty of space and fresh air and a few sheep for good measure. Just what we needed for a short getway from city life! Our spacious room was typical finca style with antique furnishings, a little terrace and wonderful views of wildflowers and trees. Some people might think it's a little dated, but we liked the simple Spanish style decor and appreciated that we had decent wifi and air conditioning. The pool area is pleasant with a few pool toys for kids, and we never had to share the space with too many people which was nice. There are also several quiet spots where you can lounge or snooze around the gardens. And in the main farmhouse there are comfortable chairs in the cool and the shade if you want somewhere quiet to read. Unfortunately we arrived too late for lunch and couldn’t try the restaurant food, but the hotel is only about 7-8 minutes drive from a large supermarket, so we picked up provisions and made lunch on our private terrace. The breakfast was simple with lots of breads and cakes. It was nice to sit under the terrace and enjoy our coffee outdoors. The service was very friendly and all staff were helpful and efficient. I think this is a great hotel for couples or families who want a peaceful relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Palma. You can easily come to Son Siurana and just chill! There’s nothing within walking distance, so make sure to hire a car if you plan to go to beaches or restaurants.

MasVivent is a rural turism house located in the Alt Empordà region (Catalonia, Spain), in a town called Vilamaniscle and next to the natural park of Albera. It is surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and cork trees. The rural house is situaded in an exceptional spot with amazing landscapes that canto be contemplated at any time of the year.
We stayed here for a night on our leisurely way from Cadaques to Barcelona. The house is at the far end of a small town perched on a hill overlooking a beautiful Romanesque church and small cork forest. The house is an old farmhouse that has been lovingly (and somewhat lavishly) restored. The rooms are gorgeous, and the beds and linens extremely comfy. Nice as the setting was, the best part of our stay was the dinner. The hosts will make you dinner if you ask in advance. On this night, we were the only guests and so we had a single romantic table looking out over the valley serenaded by swallows. The food that Montse made for us was resolutely local, seasonal, and Catalan. Most magical was the stew of bacon, carrots and fresh favas. It tasted like the breeze that was blowing through the window on us. It really was a magical spot.

We only stayed there two nights and wish we had stayed more. The house is an historical building restored with all the amenities and with very good taste, in the middle of nature but easily accessed. The host was really helpful in giving recommendations for activities to do, very friendly and made us feel at home. A special note to the food, the dinner that they serve is amazing, a selection of healthy dishes made of local products.

Village Cabanamoura sits at the foot of the mountain range west of A Pena, on the basis of the peaks Monteagudo and Pedra da Vella, drawn from the river meanders Das Donas to its mouth in the marshes of Tambre the river vein Ria de Muros y Noia, south gate of A Costa da Morte and northern gate of As Rías Baixas.
I spent a wonderful couple of days with my family at A Cabana de Carmen. We stayed at the Suite Lareira. The owners and staff were amazing. Not only was the food we were served delicious but also locally farmed. The room was huge. The bathroom is equipped with a jacuzzi. The house is ideally located next to a river and surrounded by a gorgeous garden. Everything was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Hikes of the surrounding areas are organized by the owner, who is very knowledgeable about the plants and trees growing in the area. We participated in one to the Pedra da Pena and it was awesome. This is definitely a place a would recommend and would love to visit again. Thanks a lot to the wonderful staff for making our stay unforgettable.

In the heart of Basque country, where silence reigns.large meeting room. Living room with chimney. Garden, private garage, free wifi. Nice customer service. Modern and warm style.Nice and confortable outward beedrooms. The hotel offers the confort in a renovated historic building.
We found this place on Booking.com - what it didnt say on Booking.com is that there is no reception ..... which means its not open - nobody is there ..... just a phonenumber outside - please make that clear on the internet because its a bit uncomfortable if you dont know what to do .... Parking is down - the hotel is up. The rooms are all individuell styled - was great and comfortable - bathroom quite small TVs are too small to be honest - Wifi worked good. Be aware as well you are next to an old church but the churchbell is doing her job every half hour till midnight .... Breakfast was great (4,50 Euros extra) - very fresh and good products.

El Guarda is a beautiful 500 year old Cortijo converted into a luxureous Bed and Breakfast, situated in a picturesque valley close to the historical city of Ronda. The elegant country accommodation is a typical Andalucían farm that recently has been renovated with care in order to keep its traditional style, combined with modern comfort. It is the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy the slow pace of the real Spanish country living!
This place is a clear 5/5. A perfectly exquisitely renovated housekeeper's house with 5 rooms and a pool in the middle of nowhere. A very nice dutch couple really make it an even better place. All rooms are decorated with very good taste, to the very last detail in every corner. Great breakfast and a very good dinner shared with the rest of the guests, that they offer not every day. But worth it. We were the only Spanish guests... all the rest from the Netherlands or Belgium which did not bothered us at all. Great place to spend a few days if possible just hanging around, reading or just letting time pass by... Alcalá del Valle offers an alternative dinner if needed which is by no means disappointing. We would have liked some more light in the room which is quite dark for our taste... but I do recommend this place!

Cortijo El Pozuelo is the result of several years of effort, dedication and care of a family to convert a 19th century cottage into a comfortable and charming place, that is now shared with guests and friends who spend some days off in Tarifa. We are situated in a very special location, inside of Parque Natural del Estrecho, by Los Lances beach and one kilometre from the village, in order to enjoy walking on the beach or staying near Tarifa's nightlife without being disturbed if you don't desire. You choose!! We really hope you enjoy your stay in Cortijo El Pozuelo. See you soon!!
Because we extended our trip we stayed in two rooms at Cortijo El Pozuelo. The first one was very nice and comfortable. The second one was exceptional. It was huge with two easy chairs, a tiled walk-in shower with sprays all around. Both were very clean. This is a "rural dwelling" and it is rustic. But it also combines qualities you will find in a nice hotel. The property is located within steps of a natural area, with a boardwalk that leads you close to the beach and into town. This walk took us about an hour, though if you go faster it might take less. We were not bothered by it because it was a lovely walk with views of the beach. We had a rental car for exploring the area and getting quickly into town and I think this is best. The atmosphere that the owner, Manuel, and his assistant, Sarah, have created is the best thing about the Cortijo. They have really made their house your house. In this day and age of consumerism and giving precedent to the profit motive, it is wonderful to see these young people so open and giving in their hospitality. When you arrive you will be given a key to the common area, a sort of living room, where you can get coffee, croissants and other snacks, fresh eggs from the property itself. Here and all around the property you can sit and lounge. If the internet isn't working well in your room you can always come here and feel right at home. You can cook here, or use the grills outside, or use the microwave/convection oven in the room. Pipa, the owner's dog runs around and happily, invites you to pet her. Tarifa which is close by is young and modern, and Verger de la Frontera, which is 48 km away and worth a day trip is exquisite. The beaches around the area --such as Bolonia--are delightful and the ancient Roman ruins which are a short drive are fascinating. But it is mostly the openness and the welcoming atmosphere of the Cortijo that I come back to. I congratulate the owner and his assistant for his vision for this place.

Fragen is a very tiny but cosy and quiet old village very near to Torla in the national park of Odessa. Casa muros appartments are very comfortable.
