Lovely place , perfect service
Reviewed By venixWe stayed in Capalbio for 7 days and we really enjoyed our time there. Unspoilt beaches, gorgeous food, great sightseeing of the several historical towns in the area (Capalbio, Tuscania, Pitignano, Tarquinia, Vulci,...). And the Agriturismo Colleverde is a perfect base : nested on top of a hill, 5km out of Capalbio town and 12km away from the beaches. The rooms are excellent , with Air con, wifi, comfortable mattresses, immaculate cleanliness. Our kids enjoyed playing around the garden, also with the dog “Giotto” which is by far the friendliest dog I have met.. And then cherry at the top is the host Nada: she is so nice, kind and helpful, always available. You can sense her natural sense of hospitality which really made us feel like at home. She gave us plenty of tips on where to go. Moreover, she prepares copious homemade breakfasts with local food which were a perfect start of the day. Definitely a well deserved 5 star rating and we would come back again.

Reviewed By kristi132We stayed in this beautiful agriturismo not too far from the lovely village of Pitigliano. We were only passing through Southern Tuscany and stayed for one night, but wished we could have stayed more! The place looks quite new and the rooms are modern. We stayed at the "Lavender" room, that was decorated in lovely lilac/purple colours. The room has a double bed in the main area and two single beds in the mezzanine area, so it suited perfectly to our family of four. The stairs to the mezzanine are pretty steep, so it would not suit for too young children. The bathroom, although not very spacious, was nice and the shower good. The air conditioning of the room comes from the pipes under the floor that keep the room cool - very clever, as it works well and does not dry the air like normal air con. The grounds of the agriturismo are very well maintained. As it was a hot summer day, we spent most of the time in or around the swimming pool. There are several fruit trees around the garden and the fruit is used in their restaurant. We had dinner in the restaurant of the agriturismo. The restaurant seems to be quite popular, so it is advised to book at least for weekends. The food is excellent! As we do not eat meat, they came up with a veggie based starter platter that was not in the menu and we absolutely loved it. Pasta with wild mushrooms and spinach ravioli were also very nice. Breakfast is ok. Due to Covid restrictions they can not have it buffee style, so you tell them what you want from the selection and they serve it to you. Their homemade cakes were an absolute hit among my kids. We definitely recommend this agriturismo, both for accommodation and the restaurant part, and hope one day we can return.

Family orienteted Farm House in the beautiful area of south Tuscany, only a couple of kilometers from the sea, very near to lots of touristic sites. Fully furnished rooms with cooking facilities included. Lovely garden with bbq zone. There are farm animals to see. Open vegetable garden for all guest. In house production extra vergin olive oil. Very near you can kitesurf, play golf and ride horses.
Peaceful and well located
Reviewed By Brian Cwe booked for 3 nights here but extended our stay to 5 nights as we enjoyed it so much. Its a peaceful place to stay , the rooms are nice, owner friendly, nice pool area. The owner provides a basic breakfast in high season (Juice, milk and croissants) but all the rooms (I think) have a fridge and stove you can make coffee etc. Its a 10 minute drive to good beaches, and there are many restaurants in the area.

Reviewed By Simba1961Not cheap for an agriturismo but not bad for one night stay. A lot of flies and mosquitos but we are in maremma and breakfast as at home, maybe too much. People there are handy and let you feel comfortable.

If you like small, cozy, quite places, this hotel is the right address for you This property is really amazing place surrounded by wonderful greenery view. The location is very quiet and relaxing. You may sit on the terrace in front of your room and you hear only the nature. On the other hand it is only 30-40 Minutes’ walk from the hotel to the centrum of Massa Maritima (apport.2,5 km). Rooms are very nice with big bathroom, tastefully and modern decorated, very clean, there is everything, what you may need. Every room has a nice private terrace. The hotel pool is quite large, clean, located in the beautiful garden with many flowers. The meal in the hotel is really delicious. The breakfast buffet is perfect, there is large choice of everything with tasteful local products and homemade cakes. Sometimes we took the dinner there. The food was delicious, real Italian food, the best we ate in Massa Maritima. I recommend to taste home-made lemon liqueur made by the owner themselves. WiFi is working very good everywhere. Cats and dogs are friendly, living in the nature closed to the hotel, not disturbing anybody. Last but not least, the owners (Massimiliano and Leila) and all staff are very friendly, kind, helpful, they gave us a lot of tips, where to go, what to see etc. You have the feeling, you are not only guest, but you are part of the family. Thank you very much for the great holidays! We hope to come back again soon.

They'll make you feel at home and help you explore this beautiful, interesting and relatively undiscovered part of Tuscany. I'd highly recommend a stay at Poggio Sassineri.

Unfortunately they overcharged us for a menu item we ordered and didn’t excuse themselves or provide a good justification for it. We then realised that the price of the “special of the day” we ordered (which price wasn’t on the menu of course) was double the price of every other item on the menu. We were ready to come back again to this lovely place but ended up being disappointed. Keep an eye on your bill!
