Lying at Italy’s geographic and historic heart, Lazio (or Latium) was the seat of the Roman Empire, and as such is teeming with ancient attractions, especially in the Eternal City of Rome itself. To the east, Tivoli has Emperor Hadrian’s exquisite and massive Villa Adriana. Civitavecchia, today a major cruise and ferry port, has been Rome’s main harbor since the second century. Many pre-Roman sites dot Lazio too, like the Etruscan necropolis at Cerveteri, dating from the 9th century BC.

This B&B was great! We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way back to Rome from Abruzzo. The place was so peaceful and had beautiful grounds. Family owned and operated with really Italian Hospitality!!! We loved it. The breakfast was plentiful but did not include any eggs...but we had yogurt, fruit and wonderful pastries! We had a little kitchen so we were able to cook our dinners.. .which we loved after 2 weeks of going out each night. Just a gem of a place!! We did not get a chance to eat dinner at their restaurant b/c it was not opened on the nights we stayed. Looked lovely though

Clearn rustic room in a smaller family owned agriturismo. Farm animals on the property where a bonus as it was fun to check in on the rabbits, pony and donkey everyday. Room was clean and the breakfast was very good. They specially made me farm fresh eggs with home made pancetta when requested. About 5 minute drive to downtown and Lake Bracciano. Very relaxing five nights. We weren't able to connect to wifi, and the phone reception was spotty for me in this area. The host family was very kind and friendly.

"La Locanda del Ruspante" is a beautiful country house, recently renovated, with 9 charming rooms. We are in Castro dei Volsci, an interesting medieval village, only one hour from Rome. It is the ideal place for those who want to quickly get to the Rome-Naples highway connection, to the most important Abbeys (Montecassino, Fossanova, Casamari, Trisulti), to the Ulixes Coast (Sperlonga, Gaeta, Pontine Island) or for those who want to be based here to visit our beautiful historic monuments of "Ciociaria" Lazio region. The house has been converted to host guests with all the comfort, while keeping the charm and style of the old tradition. Guests can enjoy the on-site Restaurant, cooking lessons, food and wine tasting and cultural visits.
Not only is Il Ruspante in a convenient location (just over an hour from Rome and Naples), but the accommodation itself is that of luxury. Set in a renovated stone building, rooms have king-size beds, modern bathrooms, large wardrobes and a minibar stacked with complimentary drinks. It is all very spacious, and downstairs there is a lounge area. Across the road is the restaurant itself; at lunch and dinner they specialise in pasta (all homemade), but can also prepare a really good chicken and chips as well as bruschetta to start. Breakfasts are filling, with large selections of food, including cured ham, homemade bread, figs, melon, yoghurt, cakes and muesli among other things. Marianna and her staff were all very welcoming and kind, and were willing to help at any time, including once doing our laundry for us since there was nowhere else. An incredible place to stay for the week, really made a great start to our holiday.

Surrounded by a landscape characterized by olive groves, fruit orchards and fields of vegetables, the Agribel agritourism accommodation is an organic oasis located at Lanuvio, a few kilometers south of Rome, in the lovely regional park of the Roman Castles. Here you can discover the genuine flavor of life in the open air, in harmony with nature and environmental balance. The farm integrates the agricultural activity with accommodation and hospitality in a family-style atmosphere. 10 rooms are available for guests.
Nice experience, the place well cared and with a very nice attendance. Rooms are very nice and well cared, breakfast is satisfactory as quality and variety. If they will seattle a swimming pool could really be a fantastic site. The ratio between offer and fare is very satisfactory.

Agriturismo ecologico e buen retiro nel Parco dei Castelli Romani a Velletri.
Beautiful location. We had a lovely room with balcony with a great view. But most importantly Paolo was really friendly and a great help during our stay. We unfortunately had a 4 hour delay and had to go home 4 days early, but Paolo did everything he could to help us out. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

Stayed here with my husband as we wanted to be close enough to a Rome, but in a calm location. Thus fitted the bill superbly! Miguel and the family made us feel so welcome, despite the evident language barrier, we still managed (with the help of an internet translator). Gorgeous pool and restaurant, stunning views, great location. The restaurant got very bust at the weekend, but was very quiet the rest of the time, so absolutely no noise problems. The only negative is the very bumpy road you must drive up, but we only had a smart car, so we felt all the potholes. Cerveteri was nearby with the amazing Necropolis and Rome was 30 mins or so by car. The free wifi was very patchy, but this didn't bother us as it was nice to be away from it all. Well worth a visit if you want to relax in peace and quiet, but don't expect any buzzing nightlife nearby, it's very secluded!

Francisca and her Dopo Il Settimo Cielo is the very best place you can stay for holiday and relaxing. You are very varm welcoming here and Francisca is so nice woman doing all the best for a good stay. The surroundings are great and inside the house - just amazing. And we were so happy to stay here for several days. We are very thankful to be there and have so beautiful experience together with Francisca. Many hugs from Melaine and Finn from Denmark

Agriturismo Tenuta Monte La Guardia is located in Castel Giuliano, a hamlet of the municipality of Bracciano (Rome). It is reachable from a single long, kilometer-long road, with divergent variations of slope, which separates it from the Castel Giuliano village square. Our agritourism is an isolated oasis, is outside the urban center, in open countryside, surrounded by woods and seasonal vegetation. Just because of its location it is suitable for nature lovers, walking (within walking distance there are 4 waterfalls within our property) and animals. Many of our animals are in the free state and represent an attraction for most of our guests. Therefore, if you think that the dirt road, distance from urban centers, open countryside or free animals can make you uncomfortable, we invite you to contact us directly: we will be happy to give you all the detailed directions! The farmhouse has 2 rooms and 15 apartments, plus the SPA suite. We are looking forward to meeting you!
This place may have a number of imperfections, but I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit. It’s situated in the middle of a beautiful piece of Roman countryside with lots of good walking around. The entrance road isn’t in great condition, but we managed to drive it several times in a standard car with no real issues. It is an agriturismo resort with lots of animals roaming free - you definitely feel closer to nature. The rustic style room we had was clean and comfortable with a great view. The SPA room is just that (ie a large room with a jacuzzi bath, wardrobe sauna and good shower), so don’t expect a Champneys style resort. It’s a nice, peaceful and private room however with herbal teas etc and space to relax. If arranged in advance, you can get a good massage at reasonable price too. That all said, the 2 most compelling reasons to go are: 1) the evening meals (made with local produce and recipes) that were just incredible, and 2) the warm hospitality of hosts Piera and Gioacchino. Despite our being non-natives and not speaking the language they made us feel completely welcome and patiently took the time to arrange what we needed and explain what we did not understand. I’d recommend without hesitation.

A family-run organic farm and agritourism. The ancient mill sitting on the banks of a tiny stream and surrounded by woods, fields and waterfalls has been carefully restored to preserve its charm and rustic appeal.
Best stay I've ever had at an agriturismo! Elisa and Christian are incredible at making you feel comfortable and the effort they put into the farm and caring for the surroundings is felt in everything they do.
