Hallo, I stayed in La Granja el Milagro in November 2015. I'm Colombian born living in Holland. In November 2015 we decided to go to Colombia to travel with the kids and it was suggested by close friend to go to La Granja el Milagro in Tibasosa. We loved Tibasosa, what an amazing place!! very relaxing, it gives you the opportunity to get away from the busy, crowded and always jammed city to recharge batteries. In la Granja we stayed in one of the cabins, although it looks small from the outside it's actually very roomy and comfortable from the inside. There are farm animals to see (great for the kids). They are also very ecological focused, with laboratory and production of ecofriendly fertilizers, if your are interested the owner shows you around and explains very good what the farm stands for. He also has a lot of information on everything Boyaca has to offer, especially close Tibasosa. Gonzalo, thank you very much! we will definitely be going back in our next visit to Colombia. We're located 5 minutes from jardin, antioquia. It's a family country house (colombia/catalunya) open to friendship, ideal to enjoy of quiet, wonderful landscapes, its organic garden and pets. We offer charming rooms, all of them have independent entrance, private bathroom, hot water, wifi and tv. We also offer coffee, portion fruit and cookies at mornings. But we don't offer restaurant service.
During our most recent trip to Colombia we stayed in 5 or 6 different locations. Soley's lodging at Jardin is definitely on top of our list. The owner is an artist who moved to Colombia from Spain. So, expect to find hints of Gaudi design around her house. Rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. They have lots of light and air. They overlook mountains and have stunning views, particularly so in the morning and at the sunset time. Location is quite close (15 or so mins walktime) to the center of Jardin. In the same time it is far enough not to be disturbed by the noise of the crowd. Another thing I can't help mentioning is delicious breakfasts accompanied by the unique coffee recipe. There is even article snapshot from "New York Times" mentioning this coffee. Overall this was a lovely stay. I wish we booked this place for couple more days.

Magnificent place, with typical architecture, located just a few steps from the urban area and with all the charm of nature. Few beds to provide greater silence and tranquility to our guests. SALENTO- QUINDIO
Eco Hostal is just outside of town (about a 10 minute walk) and set in a lovely area with gorgeous views of a valley. It's really peaceful there and you can relax on the patio at night. The restful location is worth the walk. I had a nicely sized single room (two beds actually) with a nice bed. The room could use a bedside lamp. I can hear the electricity humming at night, so bring ear plugs. There are two bathrooms in the back of the building. Both are basic and I couldn't get hot water in the shower. The hostal could really use another bathroom. I left too early to eat breakfast but did get some fruit.

Our cottage offers a great advantage in that allows you to soak up the customs of the inhabitants of these communities, a souvenir of a tourist place, and also a cultural memory , its people and its friendliness . The cabin is primarily intended for people who like adventure , those who love to travel bag, they love to soak up the culture of the people and customs of the places they visit . A spectacular space for those who before comforts looking for a cozy place to sleep and leave your things while learning at a much lower price than a hote
We came from Paipa trough the mountains , passing Iza, a very tough road, mostly unpaved or under construction. At 3100 m height the huge lake is beautiful. We arrived at La Playa Blanca at noon, just in time for lunch at the restaurant on the beach, good service and tasty trout (of course). The unexpected white beach is wonderful and our grandson enjoyed the sand. We returned to Paipa from the other side of the lake, the route is a bit longer but the road is much better. All in all a rewarding experience. A four wheel drive is recommended.

We spent a lovely day at Finca Romelia earlier this week. Our guide was a darling girl ( Daniella I think) who spoke perfect english. We began with an interesting and informative walk through the orchards and bamboo forest. We stopped for a wonderful lunch on the terrace of the home of the owners - joined by one of their wonderful daughters (Anna I think...sorry names arent my strong suit). Lunch was very good - the setting gorgeous with all the pretty orchids winding up the house and in pots on the terrace. After lunch we saw many additional species of orchids in their greenhouse. They also had a cactus garden and a bonsai collection as well as a slew of hummingbirds far more impressive than the ones at Acaime in Valle de Cocora. It was really a wonderful day and I would encourage anyone with even a passing interest in orchids to visit.

The ecological lodge and natural reserve Mururito is located in "los Llanos Orentiales" of Colombia (Orinoco). The reserve spans 2,000 hectares, along the Manacacias River. We have 6 beautifuls rooms, two large livingrooms, hammocks for rest and relaxation. There are plenty activities to do: horseback riding, fishing, bike riding, hiking in the woods ...And see lots of animals.
This is the perfect place to "disconnect" for awhile and just relax and enjoy the sounds and smells of nature. The house is gorgeous, clean, spacious, and just a beautiful place to stay. I was lucky enough to be the only guest, so had the privilege of spending a lot of time with the people there: horseback riding at sunrise (highly recommended), swimming in the natural pool (also recommended), walking, watching the stars at night from a comfortable hammock, watching the sunset... To top it all off, the food is absolutely delicious! This is environmental conservation and sustainable development at its best. And it's a great place to have interesting discussions and learn about the people and culture of Colombia. Nothing is off limits. I was sad to leave and miss everyone already. I look forward to going back. Muchas gracias para todos !

El Horizonte provides an ideal opportunity to stay on a traditional finca (farm) in Quindio, the southern part of the Eje Cafetero (coffee) region of Colombia. The house is in the typical style of the early colonization of this part of Colombia and provides an opportunity to experience the culture of the local farming community. The kitchen conserves the tradition of cooking on a wood-fired stove.
We stayed at El Horizonte for two nights and had the most beautiful time here. If you’re looking for a traditional finca stay, this is it. The grounds are incredible, the views are stunning and Cecilia is an incredibly gracious host that treated us so well. We ate some incredibly delicious dinners and hearty breakfasts, with different fresh juices every time, made from fruits from the finca. On our last morning, Cecilia took us on a tour of the grounds and showed us all the different fruits and flowers they grow there. She also gave us an in depth tour of the coffee growing/production process - very informative and interesting. We even picked a few coffee berries ourselves! You will not have a better or more authentic experience anywhere else. Staying here was one of those experiences that you’ll remember for the rest of your life and smile every time you think of it :)
