Step back in time and imagine Italy as it was during 550 B.C. At least, that’s what you can do when you visit The Cilento—home to the remains of two ancient Greek cities: Paestum and Velia. To experience life a little later on, head to the Certosa di Padula, a Carthusian monastery (and World Heritage site) that dates back to 1306 and is known for its Baroque-style architecture. The park’s landscape also hints at these forgotten times with its vast seaside views and deep cave systems such as the Grotte di Castelcivita.

We stumbled on this place pretty much by chance but decided to stay longer because we really liked it there. Simple, clean, friendly people. The rooms are very nice, decorated tastefully with old furniture. For all the non Italians: the breakfast is typically 'Italian' (coffee and biscuits), For me this was great, but some other people might expect something else.

An enchanted place where time stops to listen to the sound of Nature. A fragment of 'Created', carefully cultivated with respect for the environment and preserved to be offered for enjoyment to the beauty lovers.
Most beautiful and peaceful place. The continental breakfast is extraordinary. The rooms are nicely decorated. The more than 1000 years-old olive trees are creating a very special atmosphere. One can relax in the garden or on the terrace. Rocco and his team are very aware of their guess' needs: helpful and respectful. There is no lack of anything. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We were looking for a farm stay and we definitely found it with this agriturismo. The family run farm has every farm animal you can think of including several very friendly dogs who will hang out with you in your room if you want them to. We were able to say hello to the goats, horses, donkey and sheep. We chose the breakfast and dinner option and each meal included way too much food. All food comes from their farm too. The dinners were exceptional with homemade meats, cheeses, vegetables, and even the wine and after-dinner liquors. The family was extremely friendly, especially Christian who was super busy but still always stopped and talked with us. NOTE: very little English is spoken here so brush up on your Italian. Parking was easy, wifi worked well, bathrooms were big (but not a lot of shelving to put your things on). The inside of the cabins were comfortable but a tight fit around the beds. There was a nice outdoor space too. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic farm stay with AWESOME FOOD.

Michaela will welcome you to her beautiful property and keep you well fed at this lovely location. The rooms are fantastic - air-conditioned so lovely and cool with spacious bathrooms and brilliantly well equipped. We had a small terrace with table and chairs and a rack for drying swimsuits etc. Inside, we had a small fridge - very useful for keeping water, beer and wine chilled. The meals were served outside on Michaela's large terrace - we ate really well and were served a lovely variety of local dishes, including some of the famous Cilento Mozzarella. Thank you Michaela and your team.

La Lamia is the best place to stay if you want to visit Castellabate. It is a perfect combination of romantic, quiet, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The delicious food is not just a plus, it is a highlight, it is made with love, it is fresh, homemade. In addition, they are great hosts and everything is very clean. The location can be tricky but in less then 5 minutes you are in Santa Maria. I just love this place, it is perfect and I highly recommend!

"Il Vecchio Casale" is a characteristic family home, which was once the summer house of a local noble family. It has recently been restructured in keeping with its antique style from the 1700s. The structure, rebuilt using only the original materials, is situated in the beautiful hillside area of Vatolla, which is inside the National Park of Cilento , only a few km from the sea. The location of the Agriturismo allows you to enjoy the rare breeze which is only to be found in these hillside areas, making the high summer temperatures more pleasant. At the same time, during the winter, you can spend evenings in front of the fire, completely immersed in nature. Don't forget that only 10 km away there are the beaches of Agropoli,S.Maria di Castellabate, and a few km further you can find the beaches of Ogliastro Marina, Acciaroli, Pioppi... From may to september the Agriturismo is open for those with reservations everyday, at all other times of the year we are open at the weekend.
The stay here was absolutely unbelievable. I can't even begin to describe the hospitality. The prices are more than fair. The food is delicious. The views are exquisite. The people are genuine, helpful, and welcoming. Vatolla is overflowing with history and I can't recommend this place enough for a clean, relaxing place to call home while you're visiting.

I've just visited this place during a recent bike tour in South Italy and got a very positive impression. This is indeed a true "agriturismo" whose owners are kind, reliable and professional. The country-house is conveniently placed in the "Parco nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni", close to the Pisciotta railway station. The food is organic, locally produced and generously served. The prices are reasonable and the overall quality/price ratio is certainly one of the best you can find in the whole region. I strongly recommend Mr. Mauro Prisco's agriturismo.

There are not too many accommodations in the world where I just have to go back again.. This is one of them! Everything is worth kind words and praising. From the moment you arrive you feel so welcome and all your wishes are fulfilled during your stay. Okay, don't expect five star luxorius rooms with jacuzzis.. Set your mind on being in a place where you can forget all your worries and really get a peace of mind, but without fancy breakfast buffets and huge pool areas with screaming kids and drunken adults. Here you can get a taste of Italy at its best. Doesn't matter if it's food or hospitality, it all meets here in a good way. During the daytime you can relax around the property, and Cilento area has actually lot of activities and places to go but a car is of course needed. Don't miss the dinner the family makes, it's also great, filled with nice flavors and local products, and prepared on site.
