Weekly fresh and organic farmers' market, deli and coffee shop. Open on Saturdays 10:00 - 14:00.
What a lovely gem and truly worth a regular visit. So happy to have found this wonderful weekly market by accident this Saturday morning. The fresh produce looked amazing and drew us in, only to find the most delectable looking bread, pastries, pies, cheeses, meats, condiments, jams, spices...the list goes on. Everything looked so fresh and inviting that we ended up with 3x boxes of goodies. Will most certainly be back.

Wild Oats is a local farmers and food market open every Saturday morning until 12 noon. We are located on the western outskirts of Sedgefield at the turnoff to Sedgefield Island. An award winning Garden Route landmark we are not to be confused with the Scarab Craft Market to the far east of Engen Petrol Station or the Mosaic Flea Market across the road from Wild Oats. As a food market, our open times are limited due to the short shelf-life of many of our LOCALLY PRODUCED products which include: Free-range chicken, beef, pork and lamb, free-range eggs, multiple cheese, dairy and baked products including fresh gouda, cheddar, blue-cheeses... milk, fresh fish, fruits, free-range & organic vegetables in season, many traditional and exotic bottled goods, organic olives, berries, rusks, koeksisters, biltong & wors, famous artisan breads, award-winning cheesecakes and goats cheeses... and on and on and on. Also a fabulous range of hot-off-the-grill breakfasts, coffees, teas and fresh-squeeze juices and smoothies. FOOD HEAVEN! Come face-to-face with our local food producers every Saturday morning, come rain or shine.

This market offers ample parking, food stalls and unique arts and crafts. Amble around the market, buy some coffee, freshly baked goods or vegetables when you're there. If you're looking for unique and quality crafts - this is a wonderful market to visit. Clothes, pottery, wood, plants and more are on offer here. For the foodies, there are options available like freshly baked cupcakes, panini's and more; although not too many options if you're health conscious, so either plan to eat somewhere else or take a day off and enjoy the food Everyone's friendly and approachable. A wonderful outing

This market oozes with stereotypical country charm. It's almost mandatory to pack up the family and dog, take a sturdy basket and arrive early. Treat yourself with breakfast and, from your vantage point on a hay bale, decide your method of attack. Peruse stalls at a leisurely place as hands-on producers passionately talk you through their wares from traditional English sausages to decadent baked goods, handcrafted organic cheeses, breads and rustic French staples like terrines and rillettes. You'll also find Middle Eastern and Mediterranean specialities from baklava to falafel. If you're shopping with a conscience you can buy organic veg or a pre-installed, irrigated system to grow your own organic vegetables.
We love the Sedgefield Market and although very different, this is on par with great variety of food and beverages. Wonderful place to visit

Get there before 8am on a Saturday to walk/run 5km through the scenic neighbouring farms where you will see ostriches and some happy cows. Then head to the market for breakfast or a snack. Lovely breads, macaroons, pancakes, fresh produce, gorgeous flowers, sand art station for the kids, 2nd hand books, dream catchers, arts and crafts. Music playing and lots of benches. Very popular over December but can accommodate big numbers.
