New South Wales (abbreviated as NSW) is a state on the east coast of Australia. It borders Queensland to the north, Victoria to the south, and South Australia to the west. Its coast borders the Tasman Sea to the east. The Australian Capital Territory is an enclave within the state. New South Wales' state capital is Sydney, which is also Australia's most populous city. In March 2017, the population of New South Wales was over 7.8 million, making it Australia's most populous state. Just under two-thirds of the state's population, 4.67 million, live in the Greater Sydney area. Inhabitants of New South Wales are referred to as New South Welshmen.

On the second and fourth Saturday’s of the month markets are held at Speers Point Park. Set against wide views of Lake Macquarie, these markets are a great place to take visitors to the area. Stalls are constructed on either side of a wide promenade. Seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as a range of foods, drinks, coffee, breads, oils, crafts, flowers and plants are available. There is plants of seating, a jazz band entertains visitors and a huge children’s playground is adjacent to the area.

A wonderful new Sunday market consisting of farm-fresh produce, artisan creations, bakers, gourmands, scrumptious hot food, and so much more! We're always planning our next event so make sure to check out our website for our market calendar, and a full list of our fabulous stallholders. Entry Fee donated to the Thirroul Men's Shed and Fishing Club.
The markets had a really nice vibe.. lots of Variety in the stalls and it was a pleasant drive from Sydney. Good day out overall.
