If you are looking for midway and games this is not the fair for you. But if you want a true agricultural fair, you will love this. Located in the small town of Unity, Maine on the 3rd weekend in September. Sponsored by the organic growers of Maine it is fun and educational.

This fabulous annual fair is a marvelous way to get to know New England culture. Come and stuff yourself with fried dough and corndogs, wander through each state’s pavilion to experience that state’s cuisine and culture, interact with the animals, and ride the rides. Parking can be super difficult, especially on weekends. If you can, come during the week when there are fewer people.

The colorful and often exciting history of Topsfield Fair began in 1818 when the Essex Agricultural Society, the non-profit organization that owns the Topsfield Fair, was officially granted a charter on June 12th of that year. Topsfield Fairgrounds sits on the former Treadwell Farm property. Dr. John Goodhue Treadwell of Salem bequeathed the farm to the Agricultural Society in 1858 for the "promotion of the science of agriculture." We are connecting agriculture to you!
I have been attending this fair off and on for about 40 years. First as a student in Boston, then traveling from various cities. Stayed in Rockport on Cape Ann at The Inn on Cove Hill. The Topsfield Fair is a lot of fun. The Congregational Church of Topsfield has been serving great turkey since I have been attending the fair. They are really nice peeople. The games and rides are typical fair attractions and the displays are quite enjoyable for everyone. If you are traveling and staying n the Cape, try the Woodman's Shed in Essex, visit Hammond Castle and Beauport (an unusual house/museum) in Gloucester. The Paper House in Rockport is actually built of newspaper in the early 1920's. Trip Advisor has much more to see, do, stay and dine!

Set on the shores of scenic Lake Winnipesaukee, this weeklong bonanza of biker activity revs the engines of motorcycle enthusiasts from across America as they rally to attend a range of events including loads of competitions, lots of live entertainment, and the New Hampshire State Police escorted Peter Markis Memorial Ride around the lake.
Spent a great week at Bike week 2018, took family who had never been there. Awesome bikes, deals on bikes and supplies and just a great time all around. Riding the local back roads is a blast.
