We took our friends from Belarus to Normandie for a couple of days' stay, and on our penultimate day took in part of the Route de Cidre. To round off the day, we decided on a whim to pass through Pont L'Eveque...ours was the only car in the car park late afternoon, so we thought the facility might be closed, but the four of us walked across to the main building (fingers crossed).... As three of us were Russian speakers, the manager asked if we would like to hear the programme in Russian..... What a fabulous venue, superb visual and audio presentations, covering the history of Normandie, Eau de Vie, processing, etc., rounded off by an excellent tasting with the guidance of knowledgeable staff. Not to be missed!

We were 4 adults and were well received. For 12 euros (3 pp) we had a brilliant and well informed tour of the press, cellars, and distillery; very interesting, good value for money and learnt a lot about how cider, pommeau (bit like port or sherry) and calvados are produced. We then had a tasting of different ciders, pommeau and different ages of calvados. No pressure to buy but of course we did as it was so good! Tour is at 11am or 3pm and in English, she spoke English exceptionally well and was extremely engaging.very good tour. Highly recommended.
