California is a fertile, peaceful place where you’ll find a near-equal balance of vineyards and deserts, beaches and mountains, hippies and traditionalists. Catch an epic wave in Big Sur or swirl a glass in Napa Valley. Be dazzled by the Joshua Tree night sky or just star-gaze in Hollywood. Swish down the slopes of a Tahoe ski resort, or cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge with the top down and the music blasting. Above all, don’t forget to soak up some Golden State sunshine.

As the US stepped into 1920, prohibition was in full force. Though secretly tucked away in basements and elevated rooms, people were still drinking alcohol at 'Speakeasy' restaurants. Upstairs at 1630 Powell Street is one of the original Speakeasy venues of San Francisco where every Monday night an invite only underground dinner takes place. Come join us on Monday for some history and some delicious food!

A real magic theatre, owned and run by professional magicians, what a great evening! Sitting at cafe tables, eating a terrific meal while magicans came to our table, then topped off with a headliner visiting magician up on the small stage, the most fun evening and highly recommended!

Five of us went to the Marrakech for an evening of preformance art. We had no idea that we were going to be treated to an evening of laughter, wonderment and "Magic". This is not the usual "magic" show that we often see on tv, or other venues. Jay Alexander provided us with an insider's view of how one perceives information and processes it. He explained that trickery, lie detection and psychology play a huge role in his brand of "magic".The performance is held at a historic speakeasy that is decorated in the Moroccan style. While we awaited the performance, we enjoyed drinks and Moroccan appetizers in the outer lounge. Jay entertainained the seated patrons with card tricks that were a wonderful prelude to the actual show in the theater. That short period merely piqued our interest for the second half of the evenings entertainment! Space is limited for the Thursday thru Saturday double shows at 6:30 and 9:00 PM performances. There is one show on Sunday at 6:30 PM the doors open promptly at 5:30 PM for the pre show amusement and snacks, etc. Tickets for General Admission were $55 pp. and $65 for front row. It was well worth every penny for the laughs, wonder and the experience of listening and watching Jay Alexander share his love and passion for "illusions".

Ron and Marie Scofield are your hosts for an evening of old-time cow camp entertainment under the stars at the Red Mule Ranch in Fiddletown, California. Enjoy a chuck wagon tri-tip dinner, cowboy music, poetry, and story telling in an 1880's setting. Red Mule Ranch has been said by many to have a sort of "magical effect" for those receptive to an era long gone to history but alive and well... here. In addition to Ron's traditional brand of classic cowboy standards, there are talented special guest performers coming from near and far to contribute their unique style of western wit, wisdom, satire, and song. The entertainers we bring are well known professionals in some of America's most specialized and rarely seen forms of expression and entertainment.
