My fiancé and I had such a good time with Jakov!! His knowledge of Croatian history and the surrounding countries was unbelievable, and he weaved in interesting stories and little facts as we strolled along in Samobor or drove through the beautiful vineyards. There was never a moment that wasn’t fun! He has such a great sense of humor and his passion for leading tour guides is wonderful. It’s clear he has so much experience as a tour guide and really is so great at what he does. We felt like we could’ve been old friends with him by the end of the day, and we’re so glad we had this opportunity. It was definitely the highlight of our stay in Zagreb!!

This was wonderful! My husband and I were lucky enough to have beautiful weather for our hike. Petra picked us up and drove us to the start of the public trail. Along the drive, she shared a lot of local history and suggestions for our time in Zagreb. Petra is a Zagreb local, and very knowledgeable about the city and many different trails in the hills surrounding the city. We started on the main trail and quickly moved onto to quite paths deep in the woods and moved onto Petra's private land covered in chestnut trees. Petra taught us what to look for and how to spot a bad nut! We were able to full bag to take home. She shared the proper techniques for both roasting and boiling the chestnuts at home. Petra also taught us about local plants all along our hike. I can't recommend this enough. There are a few steep sections of the trail, but this is a great adventure for adults or families, and Petra is happy to take it at your pace. It was a wonderful day and Petra was an amazing guide. We're looking forward to working with Petra again for our next visit. She organizes all kind of hikes and experiences around Croatia.

We were very happy that we were able to do a tour to the plitvice lakes in corona times. The company offered us a private tour (for a slightly higher price), and the driver, Darko, picked us up at our hotel. Darko is a wonderful guide, thanks to his knowledge about the country, which extends to culture, history and even philosophy. We enjoyed interesting conversations with him in the car. I spent the day travelling around with my guide Michelle, and she made the whole experience something I will never forget. She took me to see many different sites from Lake Bohinj to Waterfall Savica to Lake Bled. However the main stops on the way were not all there was to see, it was as much about the journey as it was the destinations. Slovenia has some incredible sites to behold and the scenary all throughout the day left me blown away. Driving through the deepest vallies and up the tallest mountains, it was a real adventure the whole way. Due to the time of year and current events, we basically had every spot to ourselves without the hussle and bussle of noisy tourist spots and the benefit of this was how peaceful everything was. Michelle is an incredibly friendly and kind person, full of knowledge and experience of Slovenia that she shares with you in an enthusastic and engaging way, she is perfect company for the trip. This is an amazing day out which I highly reccomend to anyone visiting Slovenia. I will absolutely be coming back to stay at Lake Bohinj next year for a relaxing camping holiday. Thank you Michelle for touring me around Slovenia during my stay here. It has been one of the best ( or even, the best ) experience I have had travelling over the past few years.
