This private tour will take you to the inspiring and impressive sites of Armenia in southeastern direction. The first stop is going to be in the old village Areni, where a 6000-year-old winery was found. You will enjoy here wine tasting and a tour around "Hin Areni" factory. Next is Shaki waterfall, located in one of the coziest and nicest corners of Syunik province, gloriously opening its striking beauty to all the admirers. Further on the route there comes a flight on the longest reversible cableway in the World – "Wings of Tatev" and a visit of the unique Tatev monastery complex. On the way back to Yerevan you will visit the ancient observatory Karahunj. The petroglyphs (paintings on rocks), found nearby, indicate that primitive man in Armenia had certain information about astronomy.

We would like to thank Hyur for an unforgettable experience we had in Armenia. Tigran, our guide, was warm, friendly and kind. He was extremely knowledgeable and also flexible in terms of the activities that we did - we went on a boat ride on lake Sevan which wasn’t part of the itinerary and we also watched a lady bake bread. Arthur was our driver and he was fantastic and kind. Next time we visit Armenia, we will be booking more tours with Hyur!!! Thank you Tigran and Arthur for making our day so special and memorable!

Great experience and wonderful tour guide. We had a great time with this tour company; they are knowledge, polite, professional and provide a great comfort for the tour. The car was comfortable, clean and warm during winter time, when we visited. Our tour guide Arthur was full of information and we had an exceptional place for dinner because he was greatly informed of the areas and offerings. the sites were exquisite and it was so much better with a safe and professional driver. According to the legend the foaming water is the hair of a beautiful princess whose father cursed her to turn into a mermaid if she tried to see her shepherd lover. Unable to stay away from her beloved, the princess tossed her hair into the gorge, which turned into a waterfall. Hence another name for a waterfall is Mermaid hair. Shaki Waterfall is a waterfall in Armenia, with a height of 18 m. It is located in Syunik Province. It is considered to be one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Armenia. According to the legend a beautiful girl called Shake fell from the cliff, refusing to obey the will of the conquerors. While falling, the girl’s dress opened in the wind and turned into a waterfall. Later the waterfall was named after her - Shaki.

When I was searching for tour packages in Armenia, I stumbled upon HaykTheGuide and didn't care much about it. For me, tours are tours and there's nothing much to expect anyway. So when I contacted Hayk and saw how responsive he is, I was pleasantly surprised, and even more so when my friend and I finally met him for the tour. With Hayk, you feel as though you're traveling with a friend and a professor, haha. I am a big fan of history and Hayk being a storyteller was a big plus point in the experience. He is passionate about his country, and everything it can offer. Hayk also excellently took care of our itinerary. This has been my least stressful travel experience. My friend and I are people who are not good at organizing so Hayk being knowledgeable about his own country made it very easy for us to chill the whole time. He also made sure we get special experiences like listening to Armenian music while we admire the mountains and road ahead, driving an old russian car and having that adrenaline rush, and feeling in complete peace with ave maria echoing inside one of the halls of a church carved out of a mountain. Armenia became my favorite country of destination after this tour with Hayk. I can't wait to visit Armenia again! :)
